We booked this hotel knowing it was on the other side of the river to 'pub street' but we not disappointed. Such a great neighbourhood with awesome restaurants and just a 5 minute walk or a $2 tuk tuk. Can't go wrong.
This hotel has a great pool, really nice rooms, but what made this hotel was the staff. Welcome drink on arrival, cool towel and a smile. We also had an early start to Ankor Wat so the staff made us a lovely breakfast so that we had something to get us through til lunch. Thanks again to the people at 101. We will be back.

Room Tip: Great pool and close to all the action but far enough away in a quiet street.

A great albeit brief stay. Well located just a few minutes from the night market. Good range of restaurants nearby. Most welcoming and helpful staff. Well appointed clean rooms. Great pool area. Thoroughly recommend as also very good value. Could do with a bit of attention to breakfast and service thereof though it was adequate. Many thanks

Siem Reap has so many little hotels that you need to try before saying which one is good. I have stayed in 2 this times to make the comparison. Residence 101 beats the other more expensive one. First, the location is good, very near to the Old Market. Besides, there are a lot of famous restaurants nearby, like Genevieve, Haven, etc. Not only that small cafes are very nice as well.
Even though it is very small in size, it got everything we need..... cafe, swimming pool, spa. The rooms are big as they wisely designed the room. The room is clean and bathroom has good shower. My room can see the swimming pool, very nice. Breakfast is good and have lots of choices. Noodle is very good, however, my french toast doesn't look alright. Not sure why, the other day I saw the guy eating french toast looks really great.
Staff are great, they are very helpful. They recommend restaurants and helped me to sort out the tour. More to say, they are very proactive, seems that they already know what you need. They do offer free airport transfer, and I was surprised that I'm in a car to airport, not a tuktuk.
Lastly, they may even give you a surprise when you check in :)

We were very impressed on how welcoming the staff were, and always ready to help. They are a genuine friendly group. The room is basic, very clean, great shower with hot water. The breakfast is very simple, but tastey. When we left the staff wished us well for the rest of our trip and presented us with a scarf. What a lovely surprise. The area was fine, but the roads are in need of work. Overall, good place to stay, the staff ŕeally are top notch. We left my husband'so wallet behind in the safe, by mistake, and when the staff found it they were very quick to contact us. Cannot say enough good about how this matter was taken care of. Pisey and staff gave 200 percent, thank you for your wonderful help. These are people that one can truly trust 100 percent. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: The room had all the basics one would need.

From the pick up at the airport to the drop of at the airport, and every staff member we came across during our stay EVERYONE was unbelievably friendly, and there to make your day easy and enjoyable. Room was big, clean. Comfy bed. My only niggles was the noise from the hall, the wooden floors and high ceilings meant everything echoed, house keeping, and the lady next door who managed to drop her keys eeeverytime she locked or unlocked the door lol. Breakfast was good each morning! Hire bikes from French and Cambodian couple across the road to the left, only $2-3usd per hike depending on the time - instead of the $10usd Residence 101 will charge you.
