The room is clean, comfortable and quiet, the swimming pool is wonderful.I like the feel of sitting besides the window to see outside,it's good. But the air conditioner in the room is a little cold for sleeping ,especially the place of head .Finally,I think the breakfast maybe could provide some more choices.

Mr. How(sp?) and the rest of the staff were so hospitable from the moment we arrived. I've stayed in many hotels across he world and this was the warmest hotel greeting I have ever received. The room was immaculate with a sliding door literally one step away from the pool.
The breakfast had traditional selections with substantial portions. We had one dinner at the hotel (set menu) as part of our your package - it was very tasty as well.
The location was close to town (5 minutes by tuk tuk to the night markets).
They gave us each a small silk scarf as a parting gift when we we checked out.
We highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

It's fantastic to be here in residence 101, I'm really gonna miss staying here.. especially the pool, hot bath, the restaurant and the wonderful workers.

The service is superb. Every time you come back, they will prepare cold towel and water to cool you down from hot weather. They recommended some good places to visit and tell you the price range so you won't get cheated outside. Arrangement for tour also quick and easy. The pool is nice. The cafe is at reasonable price. Overall, I would say this is a good choice.

I have had the good fortune of staying in numerous hotels in Siem Reap both for work and as a tourist. They all have their pluses and minuses, and there’s not a one that has the magic ability to be all things to all travelers. And it’s not always easy to sort through the different filters on Trip Advisor and apply your own subjective preferences for comfort, amenities, proximity, value, etc.

All that said, I have to say the Residence 101 is truly outstanding, and it is the best value for the money in Siem Reap.

Staff: Everyone is professional, caring, courteous, and genuinely interested in making sure you have a great stay at the 101. The owners/managers care about the details and quality, and they go the extra 2.2 kilometers to prove it.

Food: The breakfast is really high quality – Fresh fruit, good coffee, nice selection of food – I usually had the healthy option, but the eggs, etc. looked and smelled wonderful. I also ate dinner at the restaurant a few times, and those meals were very high quality too. I had a delicious chicken curry, a nicely arranged and tasty salad Nicoise, and the chicken satay. It is evident that the restaurant sources quality ingredients and that the chef is well trained.

Common areas/ Location: The lobby area has a relaxing, minimalist, but stylish, vibe. The pool is proportional to the hotel, which has 15 rooms and eight or so tables in the restaurant, and the pool is as relaxing and lovely as depicted in the photos. The hotel is located in a really quaint residential area, which is great if you are looking to stay out of the direct line of fire in the tourist traps near Pub Street and along the river.

Room: The room I stayed in was really comfortable and well designed. The finishes are, again like most everything at the Residence 101, of a very fine quality. A nice window/couch seat/ day bed can serve as an extra bed if there’s a third person who needs a place to snooze. For couples/ families, the closet could probably use a little more space for storing bags - maybe they could create some space under the day bed for luggage storage.

The only downside of staying at the Residence 101 is that if you stay there too long, the restaurant Georges Rhumerie (#2 rated restaurant in Siem Reap – probably should be #1) across the street might become a regular stop – dangerous if you are watching your waistline.

All in all - a high quality, high value, genuine experience...a real find in Siem Reap.
