Our room was perfect overlooking the pool and restaurant. The Shack is part of the Shinta Manti resort whose philosophy is to train its own staff from kitchen, waiters and receptionists and give them the best start in the hotel industry. Acroos the road from the main street and walking distance to Old Market and Pop street where there is amazing nightlife

Room Tip: Pool room is excellent

The Shack is part of the Shinta Mani resort, but is very quiet, with its own pool and restaurant. it is across the road from the main building and one can share the facilities there. The rooms are built around the pool.
Room 4108: Lovely ground floor room with a patio leading to the pool. The gardens were lovely with mature trees and bushes offering shade. Lots of storage space, large comfortable bed.
Dining: Breakfast served either in the bistro style restaurant or outside by the pool. Lunch/dinner also served in the bistro with a wide variety of Asian/European dishes.

Room Tip: The bar in the main hotel has a happy hour each evening (not very well advertised at the shack)

Excellent hotel with good facilities and attentive staff. Restaurant had an excellent selection of food and was reasonably priced. Hotel room was very comfortable. Lovely way to unwind with a cocktail by the pool and surrounding gardens after visiting historic temples.

The STAFF really make this hotel special, from the management right down to the guy who does the gardens.
You are treated as a member of the family and not as a customer. I would like to publicly thank Kulen, Tom, Sokha and Sophie (Front Desk staff) and Martin, Sophary, Reaksa and Sophie (Restaurant/Poolside staff) for making our 7 night stay so special and memorable. The room was immaculately cleaned and turned down every evening by a great and dedicated housekeeping staff. When you leave or return to the hotel you are greeted by your first name and offered a bottle of cold water, it was this one to one friendlyness that really makes this hotel stand out from the rest. The breakfast is excellent as is the lunch and dinner menu. This hotel in Siem Reap was one of the highlights of our three week holiday to Cambodia and Thailand and we would not hesitate in staying here if we visited Siem Reap again.
Tips for travelers: The hotel reception will change larger size US $ notes for you, to use in the shops or when out and about. It is safe to walk around in the town and Tuk Tuks are abundant $2 to most places in town from the hotel. There is a good hotel laundry service with a special offer of $30 for a full bag of laundry, or you can use one of the many outside laundry's at $2 a Kilo of washing. The rooms have a plug in mosquito liquid burner and a can of mosquito spray available. Nearby there are many good cheap restaurants in town selling delicious cheap local meals and everyone with a very clean toilet unlike many in UK.
Overall this hotel deserves to be higher than the 11th best hotel in the world on Trip Advisor
