3.5 stars. Booked through booking.com with not much time to search for other hotels. I had a good 5 night stay at this hotel in my own room with my 3 employees sharing their own triple room. Free massive breakfast from 6-10am. Good Wi-Fi. Room comfort was fine. Bathroom was a bit of a hassle because the shower has no enclosure. I had my own room, so it was not such an issue. Would not be ideal for sharing. Villa Um Theara is about a 500 meter walk from the busier side of Wat Bo road, located on a quiet stretch of road that doesn't have anything open late nearby. The staff were excellent. Ms. Sophanny and her staff were courteous and helpful. Only downside is the prices for tours booked through the front desk are higher than the average. I arranged Pick-up from the airport ahead of time so Mr. David was waiting or us with a car.
Overall decent hotel, but I feel for the price (which was not that expensive) I could have found a hotel closer to the action and a bit more updated. Our flight was in the evening so opted to pay half day rate for late-check out at 6pm. Restaurant being built next door to be part of the hotel. Sukniya and Sarawot and the other front desk attendants were all very nice and courteous. Mr. Chan (posted outside) is a good tuk-tuk driver.

We stayed for 3 nights and unfortunately wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Don't get me wrong, there are some good points. The hotel kindly adjusted our booking at no charge when we got stuck in another city due to food poisoning. They offer a
free pickup from the bus stop and the breakfast by the pool was lovely.

Unfortunately the room had a strong musty smell and no mosquito screens so we couldn't open the window without being eaten alive. We were on the ground floor which has no natural light due to a tall fence next to the window, so it felt like a bit of a dungeon. The staff were friendly enough, not overly helpful though. They woke us up at 5am one morning (after a long day of travel the day prior) for a tour they thought we had booked with their tuk tuk driver. Not only did they not apologize for the mistake, but the manager seemed annoyed at us which didn't make us feel very relaxed. The wifi isn't good either, constantly dropping in and out. The hotel isn't close to the main streets but walking doesn't take long, maybe 10-15minutes.

Overall, the hotel was ok, but we won't be back.

Good location, 2/3 dollar tuk tuk to night market/ pub street although walkable too.

Staff were excellent - went out of their way to help us for example, sorting tuk tuk driver when our pre booked one didn't turn up, arranging a late breakfast, letting us leave our luggage, charge phones and use the facilities after checkout.

Rooms were clean and comfortable for what we needed and pool was amazing after a tiring, hot day visiting the temples.

Overall fantastic customer service and made our stay in siem reap even more enjoyable

I stayed in villa um theara for 3 days and i must say we had a very good time here. From the complimentary pickup from airport to check-in everything was seamless. They have an arrangement with a couple of tuk-tuk drivers so you dont have to worry about trying to strike a deal with unauthorised persons for taking you to angkor archaelogical park. It is around 10 minute walk from pub street which is the most happening street in siem reap with lots of food, drinks and massage places. On first day, they asked us to choose which breakfast package we would prefer and having made a choice, we were totally surprised to see them arrange it for a take-away at 4am knowing very well we will be up early to watch sunrise. now thats what i call attention to detail. Neat and clean rooms and bathrooms is the least one can expect and that is what we got. wifi tends to be faster in reception and little slow inside the rooms. I would highly recommend this sweet little hotel for its friendly staff, location and super clean rooms.

After an exhausting trip through Cambodia, we were happy to stay in this sweet hotel.
The hotel is really in the center, everything is easy to reach.
The staff is really kind and helpful.
Our room was on the ground floor so we haven't had sun inside, which was a pity.
These three nights had been really restful for us.
