I just stay for one night in this hotel.

If you're a real tourist, you can find many affordable hotel options more close to the city. That let you have a better experience (walkable) to this city.

In order to prove that, I just booked in Monthara Angkor Residence (35US per night). They have rooms with the same size, same amenities, same conditions, even a little better (was constructed in 2017) and is located just a few blocks to the night market and pubs area. But of course, that place is not a resort.

But if you’re in a place that let you have everything without the need to go out, then you should book in Lotus. So if you like to spend a whole day inside a hotel this is your place.

About the staff: there are two faces here. If you call before you arrived in order to book the airport shuttle complimentary, well, you have a problem. They don't believe in your word, they are very tough and rough handling. I tried two times before my arrival and another one when I was at the airport, and it was challenging and put me in bad humor.

But when you arrived and they know that you're real and you already paid; things are different and then the thread it's changing in the opposite way. They are friendly and they help you with all your needs.

Hotel is nice and has the main characteristic of a resort. Nevertheless, their service is far away to five stars. The facilities open late and close early. Breakfast is ok but just a few options. Even you can’t have a proper English breakfast.

Due to scenic do this place is full of insects and that includes the restaurant and breakfast area. You can find more than one in your food (I only been there for breakfast I have to say that in advance)

The little things always make the difference, and that is one of the golden rules of excellence and quality. As a hotel, it has a lot of things to learn before to become a five stars location

The resort is a great place from which to visit the historical sites around Siem Reap. It is also handy to Pub Street, a bustling tourist precinct. The resort has a large pool set in nice gardens. There are always tuk tuks on standby, and the fare to Pub Street is 2 USD for up to 4 people.

We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed our experience. The staff are wonderful and attentive to our every need. All staff members were friendly and helpful at all times of the day and night. Especially Soleny, Pharet, Bora, Eng Kanika and Kea.
The pool is beautiful and a relaxing place to recover from the all the local tourist site seeing. Note for families the pool is quite large and very shallow at one end with parent supervision needed. The Hotel has 2 restaurants for every taste and the staff can organise tours for the temples, the floating village and more. If your prefer a fun trip to 'Pub Street' for dinner (western and traditional food) or some night market shopping they can order you a 'tuk tuk' (motorcycle with carriage). The buffet breakfast is well catered for every taste.
The bar downstairs is a nice place for a night cap.

Room Tip: We were on the Privilege level (level 2) facing the coconut tree gardens and gave the feeling of being in a forest.

We found the hotel was very pretty, with a terrific pool area and lovely lobby. Breakfast buffet was Excellent. Easy location within 10 minute tuk tuk to the Pub Street area and other good restaurants, and only 10 minutes from the airport. Room was large, with a very comfortable bed, nice size bathroom and shower. Also, there was a small balcony overlooking trees/pool. So it checks many boxes.
What stopped it from getting 5 stars is the following: while the staff was eager to help, and very nice, it took and inordinately long time to check in (45 minutes), and handle a couple of other small issues that came up. Also, it took a little time for the AC to cool down the room, and the system turns off when you take your key out of its holding slot. We solved this by separating the key from it's "holder" and leaving that in the slot. Finally, it was quite a long walk to several of the rooms.
I would stay here again, but I was not so wowed that I wouldn't consider other options.

Room Tip: Separate the key from its holder so you can leave the ac on when you leave the room

The facility is beautiful. The pool, the lounge, the breakfast room, everything is well done and well kept. The staff is courteous and eager to help. We were not happy with the location of our room, so we called the front desk and within minutes we had a new room, and someone at the door ready to help us move! The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. The shower was incredible, the best of our trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends & family
