My husband and I and another couple stayed for a week at this hotel. Very nice! Loved the decorations. we ate dinner most nights in the main restaurant as we put in long days for temple viewing. the food was good and the service was excellent. We had clothes washed and returned overnight and my husband even got his tennis shoes cleaned after stepping in a mash while fishing. After the first day, most of the people were calling us by name. the doorman is ready with a cool wash cloth after you return form touring. Our flight left at midnight and we were able to keep our room until 9:00 p.m. Would love to visit other Raffles hotels.

Room Tip: We went to stay one night in a tent and when we returned were upgraded to a suite. Very nice! It overlooked the spice garden.

Raffles Siem Reap is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at - and I like high-end experiences! The hotel is beautiful, the pool is the nicest I’ve seen, the service is outstanding, the staff is amazing - so personal and attentive - it’s definitely a 10+ - not cheap, but worth every penny. Why waste time at a lesser hotel?

We went for dinner and to see a dance performance here with our touring group. The dinner was buffet, with a lot of choice of salads, hot and cold entrees and a BBQ meal, choosing your own ingredients. We choose the BBQ and it was delicious. The dancing was wonderful and many styles of dances were presented, such as folk dancing, apsaras and others. The group was very talented and the costumes and overall presentation was wonderful. However we had very little time to get our meal before the show began, and we had to eat throughout the performance. This proved difficult as many of us faced away from the stage. It was either eat, or watch. I would recommend the show and the meal, but go early to be able to see and do both, without sacrificing either. The Grand Hotel itself looked as beautiful as you would expect a Raffles hotel to be.

Raffles is full of old style charm and elegance. It is an older hotel and the décor suits its era. The rooms we stayed in were comfortable and very clean. The only meal we had at the hotel was breakfast and there was a wide selection of food to choose from. The highlight of the breakfast was the omelettes – they were probably the best we’ve ever had. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the name of the lady chef who cooked them for us, but she was very good. We only stayed one night but were very impressed by the personnel who couldn’t have been more polite or attentive. The hotel was a short(ish) walk from the Siem Reap night market and a shorter tuk tuk ride back. We only stayed at Raffles one night as we had been moved there from the Sofitel and the one night displacement ended up being a bit of good fortune in that it gave us an opportunity to sample another hotel with different facilities and closer access to town for the night we were there.

Raffles Grand d’Angkor is a lovely hotel ideally located... my only reason for not giving a five star- excellent rating, is that I was not impressed with the bathroom, it has a old fashion tub that could be difficult for an elderly or short person...I understand wanting to save the look, but at what cost?
