The hotel has been around since 1932 and demonstrates the rich style and elegance of the time. It has an original elevator that is hard pressed to hold 3 adults, but the novelty attracts. We used it upon arrival then went with the stairs.
The staff is first rate and the service above par.
Our room was on the 3rd floor with a front street view. We had a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table that was delightful for a quite time.
The bathroom provided an old style tub fitted with an overhead shower head. The tus is deep and a very high step that may present a problem is you have any mobility issues.
Second stay at a Raffles property and again no disappointment. The hotel food is excellent although pricey. The bar provides live music in the evening with a wonderfully romantic and mellow piano. More
