All can enjoy a private lunch or dinner experience at Tangram as our Garden features 11 pavilions, a bar and lounge area and a secluded playground for children. Designed in the traditional Khmer style. Mostly natural materials are used around the property, giving people a real al fresco feeling while being seated in a private pavilion underneath a beautiful thatched roof providing a cool and natural breeze druing the day and night. Our staff is young and friendly and have been recruited through training organizations that focus on the training of underprivileged youth. They have mastered the skills of hospitality well and love a conversation with their guests. Tangram is proud to be a member of the Siem Reap community and supports with 5% of its proceedings 60 orphaned and underprivileged children in their development. We went there for the illustrated show about the history of photography in Cambodia called "Snap" We decided to stay for the 3 course dinner as well. And we didn't regret!!! Interesting show, tasty food delicately served, lovely garden, excellent and friendly service.

The setting is off the beaten path down a side street in Siem Reap that you would not find through casual wandering. But the food is excellent and served at tables dispersed throughout individual patio settings. Prices are high by Cambodian standards but extremely reasonable by US standards. We enjoyed two large drinks, their signature barbecue, a side and dessert for something like $25. There are also evening music and puppet performances that are scheduled from time to time.

The restaurant was chosen by my husband for the romantic dinner. After having 2 other evening meals experience:cheaper and more expensive in the noisy town centre, Tangram experience was by far the best. It was not easy to find it but I am glad that my husband was persistent to get us there for the peaceful, intimate atmosphere in beautiful settings and the lovely, tasty menu. We were also puzzled by the small menu list but ordered the set menu which was the best choice. Every piece of food was very tasty:spring rolls, fish, pork ribs were to die for, chicken scewers perfectly barbequed. We don't like very spicy -chilli hot type food so Tangram food was perfect for us. The lady owner served us herself because it was not busy at all.The night earlier we went to taste Khmer food but they ranout of pork for barbecue and the chicken breast was full of bones and we had to wait in the queue to be seated and then we had people begging for money.Tangram was such a different experience: peaceful ,magical ,romantic, tasty meal in the large personal garden pagoda. We did not feel squashed between hundreds of other tables. The price for the set menu at $12.50 was very reasonable and worth the money, with good Chilean wine at $3.75 a glass. Definitely recommended and don't be put off that it is down an unlit street. If you see a sign for Bambu Stage, that is the same place.

Everything about this place is a little magical. The beautiful setting, the warm & friendly staff, the food - it all comes together to create a very special experience. Enjoy!

Puzzled by the rave reviews. Yes, the owners are nice and ambiance special. But that is where it stops. I do not remember ever seeing a menu as short as theirs. They have 10 items across three courses. I picked fish, which came with potatoes. It tasted like nothing more than fish with potatoes. I could have probably made that, and I am a terrible cook. Then a ginger cat appeared. I hate cats. We asked a waiter to take it away. Three minutes later the cat was back. The waiter took it away. The cat returned for a third time. My wife had a bug in each of her dishes. So what is to like here?
