Such a great stay at the Maddison Boutique (also known as Smiling Angkor Boutique). The check in process was fast and smooth with friendly staff and a welcome drink. The room looks exactly like the website - there were no surprises. I was on the 1st floor (Room 1) and the air-conditioning, hot water, and water pressure was amazing. The pool and steam/sauna was a nice surprise and a great way to get ready before ending the night. It also wasn’t too busy. Again staff were great and while I didn’t use too many services they were always happy to help. All in all a great hotel experience and highly recommended.

We booked this hotel because every hotel in Siem Reap was sold out for Chinese New Year, which also meant its rates were much higher than usual. Stayed three nights. It's in an awkward location that tuktuk and drivers have a difficult time finding, especially when the hotel seems to go by three names (Marrison Boutique Spa/Smile of Angkor Boutique Hotel/Smile of Cambodia Boutique Hotel). Sound carries throughout the building, between rooms and in the corridors - we could hear the front desk telephone, loud guests and screaming children. Shower floor looked kind of dirty, so I scrubbed it with a toothbrush and it went from brown to light grey. After seeing that, I questioned the cleanliness of the spa areas.

English is weak with staff, we had difficulty communicating with them on just about all matters. The safe in the room didn't work and was never fixed. Getting enough towels for our room also seemed to a daily issue.

Massage which came with the room because we booked multiple nights, was decent.

If we had paid the hotel's regular rates I would have expected less, but for what we paid, it was mediocre.

Friendly staff
Easy accessible to most places
Great ambiance
Nice breakfast
And a spa.

Everyday after tiring tour we came back hotel and had a one the finest massage therapy. Only thing missing in the wonderful resort is swimming pool. It could’ve been a complete package.

We had a great time in Cambodia. Everyday they treated same with great welcome. Will revisit again.

We stayed here for 4 nights.

Upon arrival at the airport, there was a tuk tuk driver waiting for us to fetch us to the hotel. Journey was about 20 minutes. At the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly staffs with cold towels and ginger teas. Overall, check-in was good and fast. We got upgraded to the suite room located at the 3rd floor of the hotel.

The pros:
- Big and clean room
- King-sized bed and comfy
- Rain shower with strong water pressure
- Prompt room service
- Complimentary tuk tuk to and from airport and out to the town

The cons:
- This hotel has no lift/elevator.
- Room is not sound proof. We can hear sound of the staff preparing food at the kitchen which is directly above our room (rooftop terrace)
- The reception staff did not pass down information to another staff properly (different shift). They prepared our take-away breakfast for sunrise tour on the wrong day.
- We visited Siem Reap close to the Pchum Ben day. Staff did not informed us in advanced that their spa will be closed the entire week. In the end, our complimentary massage was done by masseuses hired from another spa (which was quite bad)
- Rooftop "restaurant" was just a few tables and very little choices

Overall, the service was sometimes good, sometimes ok. Just need to improve on communication and the rooftop terrace/eating area (seems incomplete)

Room Tip: Stay at lower floor cos this hotel do not have lift.

We came here for massages twice, and enjoyed it both times.

My masseuse was professional and would check with me to make sure she was applying the right pressure on my trouble spots. My friend had just finished the marathon that same day and had some difficulty walking after, but after his massage, he said his feet never recovered so quickly.

The rooms are clean and very big, and the en-suite toilets are spick and span.
