“Favourite cafe in Siem Reap!”
Review of Footprint Cafes

Footprint Cafes
Ranked #4 of 41 Coffee & Tea in Siem Reap
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$1 - US$4
Description: Footprint is a new, locally run social enterprise cafe. A home away from home, we offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with a wide selection of international, vegan, vegetarian and Cambodian dishes all locally sourced. Every Tuesday we host a vegan BBQ from 6:30pm. We believe high quality food comes from having the freshest and best ingredients, that’s why our Head Chef, Sophal, goes to the market every morning to select our ingredients personally. Footprint’s drinks menu offers a delicious selection of freshly made smoothies, juices, teas and of course coffee. Our coffee is crafted by a Cambodian employee owned roaster who make a regional bespoke blend for us mixing Cambodian, Thai and Vietnamese beans. The resulting roast has a strong, full bodied taste that is popular with coffee lovers the world over. Our baristas pride themselves on delivering the best flavours from our roast to every cup. Footprint is a social enterprise cafe dedicated to linking a prosperous global tourist industry with prosperous communities. We believe that the vast majority of tourist would like to have a positive impact on the places they visit. That’s why we have created a social enterprise model focused on ‘People, Planet and Profit’. We unashamedly want to make a large profit each year. Such profit is not for personal gain but rather for Siem Reapers to decide how they would like their community to develop. 100% of our net profits are therefore given as grants for educational projects decided by a local committee. We believe in looking after our team by providing them with fair wages, excellent employment conditions, a matched funding saving scheme and investing in their future through training and career progression beyond simply the service industry. We want to look after our planet and do all that we can to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste, as well sourcing locally and ethically. Footprint’s big dream is to become the first global chain of cafes linking tourism to local community empowerment. Tourism is the 4th largest global industry, it accounts for 1 in 11 jobs on the planet and is set to get bigger. Sadly, this does not always go hand in hand with prosperous local communities. We want to establish cafes in towns that have bustling tourist industries but still have pressing social needs. Our customers will be guaranteed the same high quality, friendly service wherever they are, along with a delicious local menu, safe in the knowledge that their spending power is having a positive impact. Footprint Cafes Siem Reap, is the first step in making this dream come true. Footprint is not associated with any faith other than the power of kindness, opportunity and great coffee. We look forward to welcoming you.

I kept coming back to Footprints Cafes during my visits to Siem Reap as they have lots of vegan options, sweet staff, good prices / portions and their profits support the local community which is great!

I love their pumpkin pancakes, Sunni's veggie breakfast, vegan burger with peanut mango salad and raw cheesecake. They also have loads of yummy smoothies - so much good food!

I hope to come back to Siem Reap and will definitely be heading straight to Footprints :)

Reeeally nice place, loved everything about our visit, from the interior, the menus, the staff to the food. We just came across this place accidentely, but are very happy we went in. The service was amazing, food was super fast and delicious. We had the vegan burger and some fish, really really tasty! The cocktails were super good too and omg the vegan cheesecake was a dream! Seriously go there, the concept behind the place is even better, since they wanna help less blessed people in the community. Staff was very sweet and always asked if everything was ok.
Really recommend it ❤️

So glad you liked us \o/! Pheakdey has been experimenting with some vegan cake recipes recently. We're really glad you liked the raw vegan cheesecake. He has also come up with a vegan Banoffee pie you might like :)

The coffee was excellent. They also have second hand books for sale. I was surprised to find them all in very good condition and also good titles!
