I spent a couple of weeks at Riversoul and enjoyed it so much. The property is lovely, with excellent modern rooms that are very clean, tastefully appointed, and well kept. The staff does great work handling many details such as mosquito control, cleaning the pool, etc. This is a reflection of the exceptional management.
This made my several week stay in Siem Reap so relaxing. It is nearby the river, a nice place to lounge in the morning or evening, and because of the intermittent bridges, a very nice place to take some laps. I walked 8-12 kilometers each day around town, or at temples, getting to know the town, the local Wats, restaurants, and the people.
The breakfast is a great value, the staff are courteous and professional. I've stayed at 5 other properties in Siem Reap over the years, dozens in SE Asia and many more around the world for both business and pleasure. In general, I loathe hotels, especially in the US, where I'm from. Depressing stale rooms located in abysmal places by airports, highway exits, etc. Nice to have a comfortable home away from home at a boutique hotel like Riversoul, with bright sunny rooms with adequate curtains, a clean and spacious balcony, large separate shower, hot water at sink, and wash cloths and hand towels.
All the best to my friends at Riversoul!More
