Like many of the reviewers we were on our first visit to Siem Reap, indeed first to this part of the world. Having come from 4 days in HCMC, our arrival in Cambodia provided an interesting visa purchasing experience quickly followed by a breezy customs passage. We then had the pleasure of being welcomed by Vin from Sumeru, who began what can only be described as one of our most pleasurable travel experiences. Without echoing comments made by others, with which I heartily agree, I can say that leaving Sumeru after only one night’s stay to join a package tour with different accommodation, filled us with regret that we intend rectifying on another visit!
In short, a tranquil oasis was found that immediately put us in a relaxed frame of mind and highlighted what a delightful and charming place Cambodia and her people are.

It was our first trip to Siem Reap, and we were not disappointed at all. Mostly because of our impeccable stay at Sumeru Boutique Hotel & Spa!
We were picked up from the airport by one of the countless super friendly staff. Each and every staff was VERY helpful, and would go above and beyond to cater to our needs, including helping us plan our day excursions and arranging tuk tuks and guides for us at a moment's notice. We cannot stress how helpful each and every one of the staff have been.
Once we arrived at the hotel, the staff greeted us with the brightest smiles, and brought us to our beautifully laid out rooms that included welcome snacks and drinks. A nice touch!
Each room at the hotel has a balcony, perfect for watching the sun set during the sunny afternoons. Perfect place to wind down at the end of the day! Afterwards we would go downstairs to the restaurant for some excellent Khmer food. Alternatively, they also do room service. Other nights, we would just Tuk Tuk into Old Town (5 minute ride) for dinners. Super convenient.
We could not recommend this hotel any more. You won't regret choosing Sumeru Boutique Hotel & Spa!

The hotel is lovely- great breakfast an service but make sure you use their airport transfer service- the local taxis can’t find it. My only complaint would be that the hotel was opposite a ktv place so it was loud until late into the night- the soundproofing on the room was terrible- could hear dogs barking and people in the adjoining rooms

Sumeru is a contemporary and uplifting haven in Siem Reap with some of the best hotel service we've encountered. When you enter the gates you are transformed into a welcoming oasis - clean modern lines, fragrant oils, lotus flowers, cool towels and the warmest welcome you can imagine. We were collected at the airport by John who looked after us throughout our three-day stay - John makes the Sumeru hotel a 5 star experience! We booked three junior suites for our family of 6. The rooms are clean, modern and welcoming (although the shower and bathroom layout needs a bit of a rethink because the water goes everywhere) and the pool is refreshing after a day at the incredible but dusty temples. We ate a tasty made-to-order breakfast at the hotel only one morning out of our three night stay. The other two mornings we enjoyed a boxed breakfast generously provided by the hotel for our early sunrise starts. The hotel provides complimentary transport between 5-8pm each evening which made getting to Siem Reap's Pub Street, night market, the circus or Haven restaurant (highly recommended!) a breeze. Thanks to John and the Sumeru service team for a wonderful stay!
