XVA hotel is truly an oasis in a very busy city. Get inspired by beautiful arts and crafts all around at every detail, enjoy the beautiful open air courtyard with a glass of mint lemonade, nice music, good food, helpful staff... Truly a charming place that invites inspiration, contemplation and good conversation!

Room Tip: My room, the Henna Room, was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. It opened directly into the courtyard which made it feel homey, especially in the early morning when you get out for breakfast. The room had only windows close to the ceiling, which might feel very cozy or claustrophobic, depending on your preferences, and how much time you are planning to spend indoors. Overall, I would definitely go back there in a heartbeat, and camp in the courtyard with a good book!

I absolutely loved this hotel. My room was perfect - quiet and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The highlight really was the complex of the hotel though. I was lucky enough to stay during Sikka so enjoyed walking around the complex and enjoying the art. At night I cozied up in one of the courtyards on pillows and read my book. I will defintely recommend this to friends. You can stay in a boxy standard hotel anywhere but XVA is unique to Dubai!

I liked the location & the hotel. Very nice staff and lovely meeting the owner. It felt nice to be away from the plastic life of Dubai and in an older section. The food was healthy and delicious. I would go back again...

Room Tip: All was well and very clean

If you want to experience the old life of Dubai before the economic boom you should stay here. Small two story courtyard house turned into hotel. The courtyard has beautiful artwork on display from the region and local artists.

It's hard to think of Dubai and not think of big buildings. They boast some of tallest buildings in the world! When it comes to travel accommodations, I'm a person who opts for the opposite of big. With all the opulence Dubai is known for, I was curious to see if there were any hotels that would give me a taste of the "older" Dubai, and that were small enough to make it feel more like home, instead of a big business. Arriving to XVA, I found that it was all I was looking for, and more. With 14 unique rooms, a beautiful rooftop terrace, and cozy nooks around every corner, XVA exudes peace and relaxation. The location is amazing. If you're looking to get just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but with very easy access, XVA is where you want to stay (the Textile Souk is just down the road, and crossing the creek to the Gold and Spice Souks will cost you less than 30 cents on an "Abra" water taxi). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly -I got to know both Brendon and Moses- and they made my stay! Be prepared to be surrounded by amazing original art, as XVA is also an art gallery. And come ready to eat delicious real, whole foods. Don't miss the mint lemonade (it's exceptional). I can't wait to return to XVA!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Arabian room and loved it!
