I stayed 4 nights in September in this guesthouse. My room, a single room was quite small, but adequate and very clean, like the shared bathroom and kitchen. There are other room options. There is a small garden, where you can sit. The Old Town is easily reached by buses, but I preferred taking a walk. There are nearby places, where you can have breakfast or you can prepare your own in the nice kitchen. Ante, the owner is very helpful and friendly. He picked me up for free at the busstation coming from the airport and took me there going back. He is very knowledgeable about the area, very helpful and can give you a lot of useful advices.
I was very satsfied with my stay here and if I come back to Dubrovnik I will stay here again.

The man:

Ante is as per all the reviews , a fantastic host ! He is a big , strong and friendly guy who is knowledgeable about the area and is also passionate about his country.
We opted for airport pickup by him at an additional 200kn per way and it's worth every penny. As he drove he explained about the history of Dubrovnik and also suggested where and what to see. He even drove us to the top of hill to get a birdseyeview of the bay, great photography site!

Ante also sat down and patiently marked all the spots and buses for us and it certainly made moving around a lot more easier. He also encouraged us to pick and eat the grapes that were growing right above his courtyard roof. Simply an exciting experience coming from a country where agriculture is almost zero

The accommodation ;
This is a fantastic guesthouse to stay at while in lovely Dubrovnik. We stayed here for 5days and 4nights and enjoyed waking up every morning to the beautiful view from the private balcony that came with the double room with ensuite. The room is comfortable and nicely done up. The kitchenette was well equipped with a microwave , fridge as well as kettle . Cutlery was also available shld you want to whip up a simple meal for yourself. Living room was cosy with TV and computer which you could use . Wifi signal is also very good .

When we were back to the room early enough , we could also catch the beautiful sunset from the balcony which we agreed with Ante that it's even better than going up to the cable car point .

Location wise:

There is a supermarket just above the apartment which is very convenient. A bakery that sells homemade cakes and pastries just to the right of the bottom of the stairs which is opposite the bus stop where you can take number 8 to the old city . Just remember this stop is called HEBRANGA 2.

If you walk all the way down the stairs right to the bottom , you will reach the area right along the port . Lots of nice eating places and supermarkets as well .

Overall an extremely pleasant stay and visit in Dubrovnik. Do stay with Ante at his guesthouse when you visit !

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and couldn't have had a better host. You don't meet people like Ante very often. Extremely kind and went out of his way to show us all the best places to go during our time in Dubrovnik. He even surprised my wife with a bouquet of chocolates for her birthday without us telling him. Room was clean, great wifi, and located in a safe neighborhood about 20 minute walking from the old city which was nice because we got to explore all of Dubrovnik, not just the touristy sites. Highly recommend, thank you Ante!

We stayed at the Guesthouse for one night and really enjoyed it. We had the garden room with a private bathroom on the ground floor, and it was perfect. Comfortable, clean, great shower. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden/courtyard, reading or catching up on emails. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Ante and his wife and children are great hosts too, welcoming and extremely generous. Ante took us to a viewpoint above Dubrovnik, drove us to the old city, and even dropped us off at the bus stop on our last day. You just couldn't ask for more! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Ante is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. He sat us down and mapped out the bus routes and scenic spots and the best way to visit this lovely place. The room was very clean and comfortable. Ante even took us up to the top of the cable car mountain at sunset to view the city & old town. Lovely city and a friendly and warming family. Be prepared for a few stairs when returning from dinner. Public transport if very good and reliable. Thanks for a great stay Ante!
