The staff are great and there's great food on offer. The courtyard provides a nice place to relax with hammocks, comfy seats and a fountain, a welcome escape from the noise out in the town.

When I arrived I felt like I was walking into a night club! So if you have an early start and need an early night you might need some earplugs, but it didn't seem to go on too late.

Was just passing by. Thought we'd stop in for a beer then realised my pocket had been picked. No cash. The guys here bought us several drinks and offered to help us get a taxi home. What great people. Thanks so much guys. See you again soon.

Staff were awesome! Especially Will, Charlie and Tim. Thanks for hanging out, organising me and making my overnight stay an enjoyable one.

If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet this is not the hostel for you, however if you are looking for a fun hostel the doozy koala knows how to do this!

The doozy koala was the dream. Awesome hostel and I left with a family I will never forget. The staff make you feel right at home, definitely never wanted to leave! The food was great, 2 bars, comfy dorm beds & nice lounge areas! 6 nights wasn't enough, I can't wait to go back and visit. Miss you all! Stay weird & keep dancing :)

I stayed at the doozy twice during my travel through Guatemala and rate it up there at the top, similar to other reviews the owners hospitality was exceptional which is obviously passed on to the staff, the personalities are banging here.
These dudes would throw a leg out to help you wether it be local info, arranging tours or transport to other destinations. Check in and out was a breeze..they know what there up to.
The rooms are modern with personal charging facilities, cool and dark enough to kip during the day , the in-house restuarant serves great food and good portion sizes.
The weekend brings good fun with live music and always the atmosphere is on point here... Great place to meet like minded travellers long and short term.
It's number one for a reason and should be everybody's first pick of hostel when staying in Antigua.
