Sad that such a beauty spot has so much trash left behind. PIles and piles of garbage just about everywhere. There was a sign to a hiking trail but it just brought me back to where I started and although there is a castle there I did not know where to look as there was little signage, so never found it. A few creepy abandoned hotels to explore and a multitude of bunkers left behind by the Commies. There is also a very nice hotel and gardens, beyond the hotel there are no outlets for food or drink but the adventure park may sell them I am not sure.

It's nice. We had a nice walk with the family, nice forest, view And weather. Would recommend to experienced walkers, but not to families with small children!

We visited here on a really cloudy day and so didn’t expect to see much. On arrival from the Dajti Ekspress there is a hotel and a sort of family entertainment area with some soft play areas and shooting/archery games. There are also horses which I assume you can pay to ride up a section of the mountain.

As we are keen walkers we took off on the trail on our own (snacks and water on board!) and headed up a trail marked with pink which went behind a large abandoned building and up into the forest. The trail was fairly easy to follow until it reached a semi-tarmaced path which you would take left or right. As we couldn’t see any further markers we continued straight up through the trees hoping it would become more obvious as a trail. After scrambling probably 1.5km upwards through what felt like untouched forest we decided we had got a little out of our depth (and covered in mosquito bites) so picked our way down again to the path. From there we took it left (if you’re looking up at the mountain) and it was an easy marked route for around another 1.5k to a beautiful viewing point where you could see for miles where thankfully the clouds had cleared.

So, in conclusion, if you like to walk, do this trail but stick to the path! There are other trials which we did not try so maybe you can find something more challenging but his one we would definitely recommend for the view. Remember: water, snacks, phone, mosquito repellent!

It is a very green spot above Tirana. You get there by cable car (or by car). The view is great. The forest is nice. There are some bunkers that were built in the time of the tyrant Hoxa that teach us a lot about this horrible period.
