The cable car ride is fun and the views at the top are impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Tirana for a few days.

One of my best experience in Tirana. Beautiful view, fresh air, really nice people, many programs amd facilities. The restaurant and the food was excellent and we tried the new bar (with the round movement) as well. Unforgettable! I advise everyone who wants to spend a lovely trip without spending a lot of money.

Sheer distance of cable car journey was a surprise. The attractions at the top of the plateau and hillside were fun too.

For fresh air take the cable tram to the top of Mount Dajti. Great view of the city and surroundings and you can see to the sea.

The cable car was closed on the Tuesday that we were there. Our cab driver was extremely nice to offer to take us up the mountain to some great restaurants. It took him over an hour, as I remember, with a small car and with many potholes. He didn't speak any English, but knowing some Albanian we were able communicate a bit. He waited 2 hours while we ate. The Panoramic restaurant had the BEST view of the city & beyond, & had WONDERFUL service. The waiter/owner spoke English very well. He picked out veggies from his garden for our salad. Our cab driver was the absolute best cab driver period. He took the money we gave him. He never asked for an amount. I love the Albanian people. I've traveled through Europe, & have never seen great customer service like this before. My husband & I will come back to Albania again for sure.
