My husband and I were tired of the French cuisines so we opted for Chinese. After reading many reviews online we decided to give Le Mandarin a try. We were so happy we did. Hands down one of the best Chinese I have had. Better than the ones in the States. Food is very delicious. If you have the time please try this place. You will not regret it. It's right by the shopping center/market. After having lunch you can stroll thru the shopping area. I highly recommend having either lunch or dinner here. Very good food and the staff is very friendly. She speaks fluent English.

Papeete is famous for their Chinese population dating back a long time. We were invited to this restaurant and were so impressed by the food. Very traditional and very authentic.
It's not the cheapest place, but this is Tahiti. Service was a bit spotty, but again, it's Tahiti. We enjoyed every dish and will be coming back.

We didn't want to eat at the Roulottes (the food vans at the waterside) and found very little open on a Sunday, so ventured in here. Don't judge a book by its cover - plain and ordinary (even drab) from outside but completely different once you go upstairs. Good Chinese food and live entertainment (although not intrusive) in the background. The proprietor was sat at one of the tables near the front quietly overseeing the staff, and a young girl (probably the child of one if the waitresses) was tucked up asleep in two chairs in the space near the toilets. Good food and large portions. Excellent service.

After series of French food for 5 straight days in Bora Bora, my wife and I were craving for something Asian. We have found the place to be close to authentic. First we ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls accompanied by Won Ton soup. Yummy! The soup came with noodles, which we thought unnecessary. The noodles soaked up all the soup. And the main dishes were Shrimp sauteed with garlic and ginger and beef with broccoli. They were both tasty, filling up our hungry stomachs. Definitely worth a visit if you're tired of French food for many days.

The food was good here with generous portions and typical flavor. The service was also very good. We had lunch and we were quickly seated and the service was good. The price was average for Tahiti.
