I found Hotel Ruinas through the recommendation of my tour company to trek the Classic Inca Trail. The cost is very affordable compared to other top notch chains in the vicinity. I was surprised by the cleanliness, the beautiful marbled lobby, and the staff’s professionalism. The staff went out of their way to help make my stay comfortable and easy since it is very hard to adjust to the altitude. I love how centrally located the hotel was to the Plaza, which took me by surprise since I didn’t do much research until getting there. There are so many top notch restaurants right around the corner to the hotel, including convenient market stores where you can pick up snacks and water. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay within budget and still have a very comfortable and relaxing stay in Cusco. I’m glad I chose it as my resting stop before and after my Inca trail trek.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 4 nights during our Peru adventure. We stayed in the junior suite and loved everything about the room and the hotel. We discovered that the restaurant served food that was better quality and better value than any of the restaurants in the square. The hotel is in a great location 2 blocks from the square. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fab location. Very nice hotel. Large room. Cusco is a beautiful city and it was nice to collapse into a huge bed after a busy day.
This was probably one of the best hotels we stayed at during at trip to Peru.

Wow. What a beautiful hotel. We somehow got a room on the third floor which had a fire place in It and the bathroom had a really nice spa bath. It was a very cosy, relaxing room.
The foyer area is substantial with room to sit and relax.
The restaurant caters for all tastes and is open at 0445 in the morning which is great for early starts.
Location is excellent, being close to Plaza de armas which is a must do in Cusco.
The only downside was the constant traffic noise which included the honking of car horns all night. I don't know if this would have improved if we had got a room as far from the street as possible but it would be something we would ask for next time.

Very central, easy to explore the city from this hotel plus they give you an easy to read map. Breakfast buffet is ok, no muesli but a variety of seeds and fruit to try. Buffet is open early so you can get a cup of coffee. Peru doesn’t do kettles in rooms.
Heaters in rooms for those cold nights, bathrooms good and bed comfortable
