Amazing stone work that the Inca's where able to complete.
Definitely worth a visit when in Cusco.
Be careful of the sun - the sun is vicious in Cusco and there aren't many places to get out of the Sun here.

We thought this was going to be a small hike, if it’s your first day it will be a challenging hike. Make sure you bring soles. 70 soles per person. They only take cash.

That being said it’s beautiful!!

Walked up there after a jet lag and it’s already 1.5 hour before closing time. Just enough to see one side of the ruins. We did not intend to hire a tour guide as we did not know what to see and is approaching a closing time. However, we did and gave 40 sols due to our short visit.

The old lady is pretty knowledgeable and the area is bigger than we thought. It gives you a good understanding of the Inca history to prepare for the Machu Picchu visit. We wish we could have more time .

The area is up in a mountain so you can see the city. We made the mistake of not asking the taxi driver to wait and when it is closed. No taxi available at the exit. Lucky that we asked helped from the taxi driver thats other people called and he managed to call one up. We were a bit worry if the taxi would really come as it got dark and we saw no cars around. Good that the people are pretty reliable. We managed to get on the taxi we called.

Interesting history of the Inca civilization. We had a very knowledgeable guide who explained construction and meaning behind it & made it interesting for kids. We spent about an hour exploring around.
