Our experience with Alpaca Expeditions was amazing, words can not explain the wonderful experience we had. Booking and Payment were a breeze. The pre-trip information that they sent out was perfect. Our super chaski's and chef, Roger, were wonderful! They took great care of us every step of the way. The food was wonderful and plentiful, you should not go hungry (we ate a ton!). But what really made our trek were our guides Ronald S and Robinzon. They were informative and easy to understand, they answered every question but most of all they knew how to take care of everyone's abilities. My husband was able to hike ahead with the front of the group and I was able to move along at my own pace. At one point I remember asking Ronald if he thought I could make it and he answered a very quick YE, which was very reassuring. This was the hardest thing I have ever done but the most rewarding! Robinzon became a master at explaining all the plants along the trek in an effort to distract me from the trail ahead, thanks for the encouragement. I can not say enough about this group, I would not trade a moment (even the rough ones) on the trail for anything. This was the best travel experience I have had and while I hiking is not my favorite, I would consider doing this again with this group! If you are considering the Inka trail, please jump at the chance to do it, book with Alpaca Expeditions and ask for Ronald S and Robinzon as guides. There are not enough amazing words to be said, the journey there really was the most rewarding experience and I feel I have made many friends for life!
