Location and Access – Directly next to arrivals and departures at Santiago Airport. By car, 30 minutes or more depending on traffic, to central Santiago
Google Earth – The hotel can be seen on Street view
Architectural Style – Very modem low rise sitting in land/waterscaped grounds and at the moment in the middle of a massive construction site which will become the much-expanded airport terminal
Reception – Check in/out was dealt with efficiently and friendly by excellent English speaking front of house staff
Public Areas/Decor – Clean, ultra-contemporary and soulless
Guest Facilities – Various - including restaurant, bar, lounge areas, computer points, swimming pool and sauna
Guest Rooms – Many, ranged over 3 storeys in 2 blocks
Space – My room on the second floor was probably larger than the bijou apartment I had been renting in Santiago
Decor/Maintenance/Cleanliness – All was OK apart from a couple of pet hates including a long hair of a previous guest……….
Furnishing/Bed -Bed was king size + with comfortable mattress and pillows. Units for hanging clothes, safety box, small desk and chair, comfortable armchair and foot rest
Bathroom – Well equipped and modern with good powerful hot water supply (shower only no tub) separate WC
Amenities including Entertainment – large screen but poor definition TV with quite a few channels including some English language. Good wifi. Basic toiletries.
Tea and coffee making the worst of any Holiday Inn I have ever stayed...Location and Access – Directly next to arrivals and departures at Santiago Airport. By car, 30 minutes or more depending on traffic, to central Santiago

Tea and coffee making the worst of any Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. First no kettle or tea - only a coffee maker supplied with one sachet of poor quality coffee and one sachet of powdered creamer. Paper cups and plastic drinking glasses. A notice advising that more supplies can be purchased from reception. No bottled drinking water in room. Mean and dismal
Lighting – As with all hotels many table lamps bed side lamps and standard lamps but artificial lighting was dim made more so by the dark decor, flooring and furnishing. Natural light from floor to ceiling windows
Heating/Air Conditioning – Adjustable controls
Noise – Under the flight path of landing aircraft and those taking off. But noise disturbance was minimal – but as I checked in/out when construction workers had not got going on the adjacent building site not sure how this would have been during the day
Food Offering – Standard fare and expensive and wine list not up to date. I had dinner and breakfast and had the latter not been included in the room rate I would have been very disappointed
Security – Building is very secure with some areas e.g. entry beyond reception and the pool only accessible using room entry card
Value for Money - Fair - But points lost for poor tea/coffee making in room
X Factor – The key attraction of the hotel is its location, a 2 minute walk only to Santiago International Airport arrivals and departures and provides a peaceful sanctuary away from the hub hub and stresses of the travelling World outsideMore
