Can’t hold a candle to the likes of Luka, Pietra Santa, or Etna. Food is mediocre @ best. Waiter didn’t even let us taste the wine, and poured 2 full cups. Maybe passable for non-Italian food lovers, but Perhaps My palate has been spoiled by the other restaurants. Air con also not working in certain areas of the restaurant. Won’t be coming back, sorry!!!!

Lucca's Trattoria in right in the middle of Robertson Quay which is bustling with tourists and locals alike. We've walked past Lucca's many times and always assumed it would be a highly overpriced, generic offering with questionable service and bland food. They have a humidor and this is what drew us in the first time to pick up a cigar so we decided to check out the menu.
A few nights later we decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. It was relatively cool out so we sat outside to enjoy the scenery. We were greeted as soon as we walked up and the service was excellent throughout the meal including the manager who came out to help with a cigar purchase.
The food was also surprising. Even though the menu had a great selection we were having a light meal so we shared a calamari and a 12" pizza. The calamari was light, tender and delicious with the perfect amount of breading. The pizza was right on the mark-not greasy, thin and crispy crust, perfectly proportioned toppings, well presented.
Not staying long we didn't order a bottle but had a Chianti by the glass which was perfectly acceptable.
4 glasses of wine, appetizer and a pizza, all for ~$100 is a bargain for Singapore, especially the Robertson Quay area. If you are looking for a quiet romantic candlelit dinner this is not the place. If you want some solidly respectable food, great service with a good wine selection at very reasonable pricing this is the place.

The service is great. Pasta (aglio and carborana), portebella are fantastic. Salad and pizza are tasty. The price is also reasonable. We have had a good dinner yesterday. Thank you.
