First time staying at The Lind. This is a beautiful resort. Perfectly situated in Boat Station 1 where we only stay. We chose a beach room for obvious reasons. Boracay remains to be the most perfect beach in the world for us and every excuse to look at it even from our room is reason enough to pay good money.
Our initial disappointment was our room, 077 on the third floor happen to be situated at the side of the building next to a private beach house. Half our view is that of their roof and AC compressor. It was unsightly. It's the first thing you see when you step out of the balcony. On my left peripheral is the beach. I didn't think of requesting for unobstructed beach view so I consider this my fault and decided not to complain. Hotel looked full too and there was a big wedding party. I was also told at check-in that the infinity pool will not be accessible our second day due to a private event. I expressed my disappointment but was told The Lind is an events place so I guess that was justification that at any given time certain section can be closed off to the rest of the hotel guests.
The following early morning, when I got up to use the bathroom, I could hear a loud humming/wind-like noise. I couldn’t figure out the source but not the AC as it was turned off. I couldn't get back to sleep. Second morning, the same noise. AC turned off. All lights off and same noise, coming from the bathroom. Even with the bathroom door closed, the noise was transferring to the room. It was 6:30am. I could not go back to sleep so walked to the front desk to report the issue. I was offered a room move if the issue is not resolved. Maintenance was sent around 8am. Maintenance told me it could be the bathroom exhaust. I told him the exhaust was turned off. It turned out that one of the two rooms beside us was actually housing some kind of water filtration system. He told me he turned it off and the noise indeed stopped. I was already suspecting that there may be a need to turn the system back on which means I will hear the noise again. It was our last night and the following morning, woken up again. I stepped out and could hear even louder noise coming through the water filtration room. 5:19am, yes 5;19am , I'm at the front desk again. Poor graveyard shift agent to have to deal with me once again.
By 9:45am, front desk was very prompt in calling to remind us it was time to leave to get the shuttle. By 9:50am room attendant was already knocking at our door thinking we had already departed. We already thought a 10am departure was far too early for 1:10pm flight but they said to avoid any possible delays along the way, best we leave by 10am. It just felt more like they needed to flip the room right away for whoever is arriving that day. If they were only as efficient in correcting our concerns.
At check-out, after settling the bill, there was no acknowledgement from the agent, not even an apology extended due to the noise issues we encountered. I felt my concerns were ignored. This prompted me to ask for the card of the GM. The Duty Manager came out to speak with me. I had a very frank discussion with him over the issues experienced and he was very receptive but it was now time to get into the shuttle. No effort from The Lind make up for our inconvenience. Not even an apology letter when we first reported the issue. I am not one to ask for compensation. Complaining is not in our itinerary when we vacation. I would not want to waste precious vacation time complaining. It is frustrating and you’re left annoyed the whole day. However, when things go wrong and it can and that is why there are Managers, maintenance workers onsite, a small gesture of a compensation from The Lind would have given me a sense that as guest I mattered to them. We left with a bad feeling.
Would I recommend The Lind? “Yes” definitely. Tartine has a great buffet breakfast. The Crust Bar & Café our favorite spot to wine and dine and just admire the beach. The staff was always polite. The grounds are beautiful and clean. If you're considering The Lind and you have an option to pick a room, avoid the room we stayed in.
Stayed in this hotel for the 3rd time. Location and place is beautiful as always. Nothing beats this place in terms of location.
Improvement on service though would be appreciated. Some of restaurant staff dont have that "warmth or filipino hospitality" that I have seen/felt in other Boracay hotels. Also the people in charge in the port dont seem to know what to do or are new with their jobs. We waited in the rain w/o an unmbrella while the person in charge does not know where hr will make us wait. He also left our bags in the middle of the waiting area while raining. I know this is minor, but staff from discovery, shangrila and hennan had umbrellas given to their guests already. EXCEPT FOR BRYAN. He made 2/3 trips extra. This guy needs a raise/employee of the year award.
Planning to book our 4th trip this Feb. Unfortunately, reservation person named Clarissa has not replied to my inquiries for the past 6 days.

January 15-17 2023 we celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Lind Boracay and I 100% recommend this accommodation! aside from it’s a 5-star hotel, the ambiance and service is excellent! All staffs will greet you warmly with smile, the room is clean and well sanitized, their breakfast buffet at Tartine are also one of the best! I will never forget Leo from Concierge who assisted me and the kids during our check in, Micah & Monica from Reservations who accommodated my request and for answering my email inquiries on a timely manner, and also some other guys that I wasn’t able to get the names. I want to commend the whole team, staff and management of Lind Boracay for the exceptional service from arrival to departure. You made our 1st Bora trip very memorable, hassle free & made us want to go back again next year! ❤️ Thank you so much! More power to the business!
