Facilities are dated. Gone are the good ole' days that made this hotel stand out from the rest. Lost are the smiles & gestured salutations of staff. Responses are less than enthusiastic, especially of the male supervisor at the reception. Spa always "full." Breakfast not as it used to be. Fewer options. Stay elsewhere.

I went to their coffee shop on a hot afternoon looking for some cold beverage. When I went inside, the shop is full. I went to one female attendant then she took my order - she was friendly and helpful. Since there was no table available I asked if I can stay upstairs which they permitted. The 2nd floor is hot without any ventilation. A male staff went inside and I ask him if he can turn on the a/c unit but he didn't respond. Then another male staff came in to serve my order, I asked him if there is a way that the area can be ventilated and he was mumbling like " ganun talaga dito..." then he went away. I was being patient waiting... 2 to 3 more staffs passed me by but nothing happen.

Staffs are incredibly walang pakialam.
I will never go back to this place.

Room tip: Choose open-air coffee shop or go to starbucks!

Very rundown place. Don't let their photos fool you. Staff are rude and management doesn't believe in customer service. I asked for early checkout or a refund and they refused. My party of 10 all went to a different hotel because the rooms were so bad. I'm stuck with $1500 USD extra from a bad hotel. Save your money.

-Situated in prime location
-You have everything in this property
-But if you want to be secluded this property is not for you as this is located in Station 2 the most crowded part of Boracay
-You can borrow beach mats which is a good thing
-They also have elevator

Second time to stay at The District this year (during pandemics) and I noticed some improvements like new airconditioning and better toiletries (they let go of the mini plastic bottles, which is ok for me)

Checkin:

Transport was seamless, we were coming from another hotel and they communicated ahead so our pick up was on time, all our bagges were handled properly

A bit of a confusion in the room reservation because I had booked this trip months ahead and specified our room preferences and got their confirmation, but the rooms were not available when we arrived. It also took awhile before we could checkin, so we took our lunch first at The Plenary

Lunch
Booked a family style lunch from The Plenary menu -- generous servings! the menu said it was good for 8 pax but the servings were good for even 10 pax. It was a complete spread from starters to fruit platter dessert! We were all happy with this lunch!

Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the room rate, and what's great is we can have it any time of the day. It's plated breakfast with big portions, it can stuff you up to lunch time :)

Rooms
The District Hotel has seen better days, but it's good that they introduced some minor improvements like the airconditioning, and they have cleaner shower room and toilets now too

No complaints on soundproofing -- i guess we don't have noisy neighbors? the blackout curtains also did it's job if you want to sleep in

For family stays, select the rooms at the ground level

Location
Very beach front!! and nice set of palm trees up front so you can set up your mats under a shade. Nice framing for a photo op too!

For those who like other food options, The District is a short walk to D'Mall

The Staff
The best feature of The District. Always friendly, always quick, always helpful. I missed to get all their names so I can commend them one by one here. but I hope they are consistent with this fast and friendly service even during peak days.

Room tip: For family stays, choose rooms in the ground level. The best for me are roooms 103, 104 and 105
