My family and I stayed here, we occupied two villas and they were great, the rooms were clean and amenities were awesome. The view was breathtaking both the sunrise and sunset and the facilities were well kept. Everyone were so nice and always say hello but not hovering. The staff were all friendly and professional shout out to Leo and front desk Merriam! We wish we know this place before since this was our third visit to the island and will definitely will come this way again. The service van was good and very accommodating we just wish there was a way for them to pick guests past 11pm since we wanted to go out in station 1 but had to rush for the last pickup and wish we could have a later pick or at least an option and we would be willing to pay extra. It was great for my sons since this was their first visit. Love everything about it! keep up the good job and continue to have great service!

Room tip: Rooms by the infinity pool have the great view of the beach, sunrise and sunset

I just finished my third vacation at the Monaco Suites. The location and views are spectacular. The rooms have wonderful views and all staff members are so kind and accommodating. I especially appreciate the kindness of the restaurant staff members and especially the wonderful smile Myra has on her face. I miss the facility and especially the kindness of Myra.

Room tip: All rooms have wonderful ocean views.

There were pros and cons to this hotel. I want to give it a very good rating for some aspects but had to settle for average due to the fact that we work in the hospitality sector.

Pros: quiet location, clean rooms and
Clean facilities. The grounds were immaculate and well groomed. The transport into town was great as well!

** there is a trainee named Abigail that was VERY sweet and nice and really made a good impression on us. She will be great at her job as she progresses. *** the staff over all are very friendly and aim to please. This review is purely for professional feedback.

Cons:
1) non existant pool service, there didn't seem to be a designated pool person therefore there weren't fresh towels on a single one of our days here. We had to chase towels down every day and ended
Up using room towels on a couple occasions.

2) while the staff are SUPER nice they were a little awkward as well. Really hesitant when serving and lingered at times without any purpose and made us feel a little uncomfortable. They want to please but don't understand the concept of quick and smooth service. They also don't anticipate which left us constantly having to ask for things over and over again. Perhaps they don't understand non Asian guest service. You can see that they are working on training the staff so we do understand the struggle.

3) food: very average. I
Would stick to going to town for average food there. You might get lucky a few times and score a decent pizza. But overall the food is not great. The menu lacks understanding and execution.

As long as you understand that borocay is just over run by tourists and lacks the proper man power to provide western standard service then you will enjoy this hotel for the cleanliness and relaxing location and the island for its beautiful beaches.

Me and my brother stayed here for 3 days and they were the best days we spent on our vacation traveling throughout several islands. The staff were so courteous, accommodating and friendly. Highlight was Leovar who went well beyond his duty to ensure we had everything we need and more. He really is an asset. The suites are beautiful as well as the view. We did not want to leave and definitely will be back. A must stay in El Nido!

Had a great time at Monaco. Everyone was very nice. Be sure to explore while the tide is low. The only downside was the amount of stair climbing we had to do. Hard for grandma to get to the restaurant and pool area.
