If you'll ask me if Alta Vista de Boracay is worth a try, DEFINITELY! You will be mesmerized as to how so modern yet so nature-ish ALTA VISTA is. From the architectural design that were made to give that sight you'll never forget about Boracay to the staff who never fail to put a smile on their faces every time you bump into them, Alta Vista de Boracay is definitely a must-experince residential hotel here in Boracay Island, Philippines.

This place is suitable for families, friends and couples who want to spend time together. Their pool is nice because it's wide and the depth is enough for people. their rooms are nice also because the bed is upstairs and it has veranda where you can see the ocean view.

Room Tip: they should book a room near the pool.

We stayed here as a group (couples and singles) as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Shangri-La hotel. Alta Vista is very close to this hotel and a fraction of the price per night.

I can't recommend this place enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was never too busy. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the main tourist area that goes frequently and will also take you back. The breakfast was good and they bring it to you in your room if you don't make it down to the restaurant.

Shout out to all of the beautiful staff that helped to make our stay awesome. Especially the lovely Darrel who looked after us most mornings during breakfast.

Room Tip: I preferred the normal rooms to the more expensive loft rooms as the aircon circulated better with just one floor.

Alta Vista de Boracay's location is not accessible to public transport, although they have a shuttle going to and from D Mall Station 2 every hour. So if you must go out of the resort have some patience in waiting for a ride.
The pool is nice but cold, very nice view of the mountains and forest around it.
Nicest thing is that it has a private path to Puka Beach and they are able to take you there in 15 minutes.
Wi-fi only works at the lobby. Breakfast was very basic.
If you just wanna chill and be quiet, stay in your room. They have two double beds and a great view.

The hotel itself was lovely. It is out of the way from the main tourist area. So it takes some effort to go to town. But we were disappointed by the time it took fits is to check in to our room. They could not find the booking at first and then when they did my husband had asked for a special request as it was our anniversary. So the upgraded the room to a loft. But again this took ages to set up and we waited over an hour, time we could have spent doing other things. We relayed this back and they said it took time as they were dealing with our special request but as a hotel that should be something you are aware of before your guests arrive. They also have a long check out process so leave enough time before going.
The breakfast was included but this was dyre and lacked variety. Also when we arrived at 9 am bearing in mind there is atleast an hour till breakfast is over there was nothing left on half of the buffet tables. Only upon mentioning it did we get bread and fruit. The breakfast was not kept warm either and it was a bit odd i.e. penne arabiata and soups for breakfast. There is no selection of pastries and no fruits.
The staff at the reception and waitering were never apologetic they were more so defensive and had excuses for why things were as they were.
All in all an average hotel due to the services. Concierge and the shuttle buses were great!
