Awesome place to ponder on the amazing creation formation of rocks just kilometers away from the heart of Palawan! The tour guide were friendly and the tour proper is organized. You can bring your car and you can go for a boat tour and do everything for a day and can return right after. Probably two thousand pesos is enough per paxx unless you would want to buy some nifty stuff around the area.

There is a P250 entry permit (together with P40 environmental fee) which must be obtained prior to visiting the underground river makes it harder to visit indiviualy but it is possible even some tour agency can tell you diffeetnt story. But for weekends it can be difficult, especialy in high season. If you want hassle free day take a tour, usually 2000 PHP inclusuve of the permint, transport and lunch. On busy days (weekend) you can wait longer,as we, for the small boat taking you to another boat into the cave. For a long wait you can full fill the waiting by taking another boat tour (45 minutes) to Amazon river, done by locals to see different founa and flora - aroubd 300 PHP. Great to see the sleeping snakes, monitor lizard … We had buffet still lunch before the tour. The tour is amazing, just to see the entrance with a turquoise colur makes it WOW. At the departure you are given audio device/guide. The commentary match the ride, the boatman point out the figures by the ray of light. The bats will accompany you, wear the given helmet to avoid uneatned give from them. The tour takes minutes, it is not cold inside but rather hot and humid. The expeience on the whole was awsome.

Puerto Princesa Underground River was entered as the Philippine entry and topped the first round of voting in the New7Wonders of Nature competition. On July 29, 2011, after the second round of voting, it was declared 1 of 28 finalists. Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn extended his gratitude to all those who supported and voted for the PPUR.On November 11, 2011 it was provisionally chosen as one of the New 7 Wonders, together with the Amazon rainforest, Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Jeju Island, Komodo Island, and Table Mountain.

The experience was awe-inspiring. Gorgeous and well maintained. The guides were well trained and so in sync too. It's a two-hour trip from the city, a 20min boat/ferry ride then the actual bangka ride into the river.

Prepare to get wet until probably the knees when getting on / getting off the ferry - - would suggeest wearing shorts.

Our tour included a buffet lunch. Food was edible, the area was just incredibly crowded during lunch.

Go early to avoid the crowd, we left the city at 7am and there were already a small crowd of tourists there.
