It was a long arduous ride from El Nido Airport, but worth every hump and bump you'll get while on the tricycle ride. It was literally paradise here on earth once you reached it in any way via van or motorcycle. My husband, our 4 year old daughter and I stayed in one of the cottages from May 9 to May 14, 2017. It was relaxing and peaceful. The beach is beautiful.
The staff was amazing to us. Even the owners were so easygoing that they would help you literally every time. They are very nice people.
The food was typical Filipino dishes mixed with some Western flair. You could request whatever fresh seafood caught during the day.
Overall, the experience was excellent. Bring mosquito repellant and apply in the early morning or before sundown if you are going to walk along the shorelines. This is not the fault of the resort. Philippines is a tropical country. I grew up here and one thing is constant: insects. I also learned that Vicks Vaporub is very effective on the insect bites. You will see a variety of tropical insects from mosquitoes to centipedes, caterpillars to cockroaches. The insects love the humidity. Definitely bring some insect repellant and Vicks or After Bite gels.
Tips for future travelers to Duli Beach Resort : Travel light, bring insect repellant, enjoy the sandy beach, and savor the magnificent view as soon as you wake up in the morning until sundown.
If you are going to do the tours: We did all the tours privately and combined Tour A & B and C & D together in 2 days. Do the tours on the specific agency the owners would recommend: Tarawis and you will not regret it. The Tarawis staff and boat men were very professional, respectful and excellent with our 4 year old. The tour guide "Kuya Doods" not only guided us every step of the way, he also ensured that our daughter is looked after the whole time. He watched her like a hawk. We encountered a very poisonous box jellyfish at the sandbar and we were so thankful that he was carrying her while managing to get on the seashore. It would have been a horrible experience if it wasn't for Kuya Doods. The jelly fish was just at least a few feet away while he came from the boat to the shore. It was horrifying that this type of jelly fish is actually not only poisonous but even deadly. We left the sandbar beach and went to another beach where the boatman driver saw a sea snake. It was just our luck to see 2 very dangerous ocean creatures. We left this place quickly and eventually head back home. All in all, we definitely recommend Tarawis tour agency who takes safety seriously. They have the knowledge and experience of El Nido Palawan waters.
