We had the most wonderful experience visiting El nido and Pangulasian island Resort Our experience far exceeded our expectations! Upon landing in El Nido airport we were met by representative from resort who picked up our luggage and transported us efficiently to Lio beach for our boat transfer to PIR. The boat launch bobbed up and down in the waves while we were carefully maneuvered onto it, and we were then whisked over the blue waters of Bacuit bay surrounded by beautiful karst formations - it was gorgeous! Upon arrival at our picturesque resort - we were welcomed by the hotel staff with a serenade and then the magic began! We had breakfast at the most scenic dining room overlooking the bay. We were then assigned to a temporary villa while awaiting our assigned villa getting ready. We really liked the location of our temporary villa, so upon our request Eduardo the manager let us stay on there. This was great as we had left Manila very early that morning and were absolutely exhausted. Our 4 night stay was just fabulous! The resort was jaw dropping gorgeous with a modern slant on local architecture and decor and maintained very well. Our beach villa was very large and thoughtfully designed and appointed with huge bathroom and changing areas and all amenities provided. We were pampered by the very caring and friendly hotel staff. Our 4 night stay was just fabulous! The resort was jaw dropping gorgeous with a modern slant on local architecture and decor and maintained very well. Our beach villa was very large and thoughtfully designed and appointed with huge bathroom and changing areas and all amenities provided. We were pampered by the very caring and friendly hotel staff. They even arranged nurse Mel to make a room visit, when I was under the weather with 24 hour stomach bug. The medication she gave me really helped along with rest and diet.

The dining staff, especially Frank, were very concerned and thoughtful to send congee and clear soup to the room, when I was unable to go to the dining room.

The only hiccup was the extreme care and restrictions the coast guard imposed by canceling all boat excursions due to weather during our stay. While disappointed, we still had a stellar snorkel trip in the waters by the resort with our resort guide Renel who was fantastic.

The beautiful and elegantly designed and lit bar with its creative activities and great cocktails was a nice casual venue to meet other guests and watch stellar sunsets.

It was hard to leave, but the icing on the cake was Eduardo (and the weather) being able to allow us a shortened excursion with excellent guide Renel to see and kayak in the Big lagoon, visit secret lagoon and Entalula beach before leaving the island!
