My family of 4 went to Pangulasian for my husband’s 50th birthday and I’d say, hands down, that it was one of our best island resort experiences in all aspects! The resort itself is beautiful, rooms are huge, the bathroom is impressive and much bigger than usual with a sofa bed to lounge in, we have an unobstructed view of the sea from the bed, the verandah has lounging beds as well, and the room smells so good! They even put a “Happy Birthday” sign using cutout leaves on our bed! The amenities, activities, pool, restaurant, food, beach, view — all excellent! But the BEST thing about the resort is the STAFF!!! They are all so attentive, friendly, courteous, and they anticipated what the guests needed. In particular, I want to thank and mention the F&B peeps, namely, Chef Carlos, Sanders, Frank, Anton, & Mark, Athena of Reception, and our guide, Alvin. I cannot remember all the names but the service and training of all the staff we met were generally the same. They gave us all very personalized and consistently excellent service. Chef Carlos & Sanders always came to our table to chat and Chef even offered to cook freshly-caught fish for us, which was really good! The staff set up the dinner by the beach near the pool with the beautiful fairy lights. It was magical! The buffet food (lechon!) was served to our table so we didn’t have to get up. Anton was our assigned waiter and I’d like to give my special thanks to him for the special service. They were all busy that night because it was the send-off dinner by the pool for the guests but we never felt unattended to even for a single moment. We had a photo op with Chef & Sanders who dropped by to greet the birthday boy. I cannot gush enough about the whole experience. Kudos to all the staff and management of Pangulasian for giving us a very memorable and wonderful time! I wanted to go back already immediately after we left! More
