First and foremost, the location; spectacular. Amongst the different resorts that El Nido has to offer this is by far the best one (and we toured the other three out of sheer curiosity). Great beach, no matter what time of the day the sun will always shine on you as there is no high peaked rock to block it after 3PM as it happens in other places because of the peculiar configuration of these pinnacles.
Rooms are gorgeous, nicely furbished all with a wonderful view. Needless to say, there is not a speck of dust on the floor, the bathroom is immense and the terrace outside is such a plus!
Service is very attentive and the manager (Jen) always keeps an eye on everything that happens making sure that the staff performs and meets your every need.
Dinner was nice, both at the pool and at the restaurant. Breakfast offers the right array of choices and will not disappoint you.
You can also enjoy a well equipped fitness room, a SPA for a nice massage or refer to the activity desk to plan your excursions during the day; they will take care of everything and you can tell that it is a very well oiled mechanism as everything runs pretty much very smooth and it mustn’t be easy when you are on an island, miles away from the nearest place where everything comes from, from food to drinks to speedboats...First and foremost, the location; spectacular. The pool is just awesome and hadn’t it been for the wonderful beach I would have probably spent more time lingering in the soft sofas under the shade.
The resort provides for your transportation from and to El Nido Airport and to make a very long story short, from the moment you land in El Nido until you depart there is really nothing you have to worry about as they take care of everything, will pamper you and will make sure that you are very well taken care of.
If I can give you my personal suggestion, I would definitely go for a Beach Villa between numbers 7 and 12; they are equally distant from the pool and the lobby / restaurant and yet secluded enough to give you all the privacy you might want. If you end up a little further up, do no worry; a cart will come and pick you up every single time you do not feel like walking.
Pool Villas are a little further down the road and have no direct access to the beach. They are very “private” but when you have such a beautiful ocean and wonderful beach, why settle for a small pool next to your room?
The canopy villas are a little higher, making it a little more uncomfortable to go up and down the stairs each time and mostly, the spectacular view they should be enjoying is somewhat blocked by the palm trees. Beach villas are, in my opinion, the best option.More
