The hotel is very modern and clean. The swimming pools are very clean and nice. There’s a wide selection of food at the breakfast buffet - they make omelettes, or eggs any way you like. The location is quiet, on the edge of town - too far to walk, but tricycles are easy to get, and I rented a scooter for my stay. Traffic is fast and a bit scary if you’re not used to that type of pace, be very alert and you’ll be fine. They have a very nice shuttle bus to/from a beach close by and to/from town. They also have a nice van to/from the airport. The best part of this hotel is the FANTASTIC staff - every one of them deserves a raise! They are very kind and helpful, they really care and it shows :-) Please tip these folks directly, they’d treat you just as well even if you didn’t, but believe me, they don’t make a lot and El Nido is quite an expensive place to live. The only downside is ‘sometimes’ in the lower level rooms there is a smell from the sewer drains - it’s awkward as otherwise this hotel would be a 10 out of 10.
*Do not get your phone wet a the beach or on a tour. Phones don’t like the salt water. Many phones stop working in El Nido as a result. Trust me, do not put...The hotel is very modern and clean. *Do not get your phone wet a the beach or on a tour. Phones don’t like the salt water. Many phones stop working in El Nido as a result. Trust me, do not put your water damaged phone in rice or use a hair dryer - the phone shop explained why (re: salt water), and do not plug it in if you are receiving water warnings. Take it to a local shop and they’ll try and save it before stuff shorts out. I did the A tour - prepare to get wet - I mean really wet - dress accordingly. Buy the waterproof packs folks are selling prior to the tours - and the phone protectors / you’ll be glad you did. Once offshore, El Nido is a very beautiful area to enjoy :-)More
