Me and my parter travelled the philippines and were looking for cheap accommodation.
Here are the Pros:
You meet lots of peole. The vibe was so energetic and they give you welcoming drinks. They also offer island tours. They have a wall about everyday helpful information such as lowtide, hightide and events for that evening in the hostel. At the reception you give a deposit for towels. We stayed in the private rooms. Good size, good air conditioning and great size for shower/toilet. The area it is located is nice and quiet away from the busy main part of the madness.
There are a few cons:
We came to the room with a blocked toilet but they fixed it asap. Sometimes the water pressure is so slow that the shower stopped working in he middle of me using it. Happened a couple times too. But all is well, its an island after all. If you get there at night, it's quite hard to find cos its literally next to the road and have to go down stairs which is scary the first time. And travelling to the main part of the city was about 10 minute ride and find it expensive for the fare.
But overall, the experience and the staff gave us a lovely and memorable time! Deffo recommended it to my friends who are backpacking!!
