Looking to get out of the capital, we found this Pearl in Puerto Galera. Edgewater is in a secluded and calm bay, away from the hustle and bustle of the town and diver resorts.
We were taken to their pier and warmly welcomed by the owners and staff, respecting all covid-19 restrictions and precautions.
Edgewater is a small resort and spa with a lot of oomph. Their rooms are superb, with full amenities, tv, ac, WiFi, ceiling fan, hot water (obviously!). Some face the ocean, others their lush garden. They have an area facing the ocean where you can relax with a massage or a pedicure.
They have a very nice pool, terrasse area, a well stocked bar and an extensive food menu.
For our stay, the owner (Richard) prepared a feast and served copious amounts of food, a combination of surf and turf, cold cuts, sea food, typical food, etc.
They also have a superb diving service. My spouse completed her PADI certification with Paul, while I dove with Marlon. The dive sites are world class. I have over 200 dives around the planet and this is one of the best places I've been. The conditions and amazing variety of fish gave me some of my best underwater shots.
Richard and his wife Victoria went out of their way to make sure we were treated like friends. We will be back for sure. More
