Bogah Homestay was the perfect home base for us for several days to explore the rice terraces. The rooms are clean and nice, with a beautiful view out our window and patio. The main patio is huge and a great relaxing place to hang out any time of day or evening. We did day hikes to the Hapau rice terraces and hot springs, and then the Batad Rice Terraces and waterfall. Both were excellent and the guides were top notch and a wealth of information (particularly in Hapau where you must take a trained guide). The Ifugo coffee and banana carrot pancakes were excellent for breakfast, we often went to other places in town for dinner. Denwil and his wife and team were great hosts and really helped us organize transport everywhere, including getting there and back. I didn’t want to do the overnight bus from Manila travelling with 2 kids, so we flew to Cauayan airport where he picked us up in a van and drove us to the homestay. It’s a long winding road but beautiful scenery and he stopped several times to show us sights. Same on the way back we had a break partway through the drive to a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. You can What’s App Denwil directly to make plans and ask questions. This place is peaceful as it’s on the river away from town, but only a short walk to town...Bogah Homestay was the perfect home base for us for several days to explore the rice terraces.
