My wife and I stayed here for the usual 3 nights and one at the end of the tour.
I'm sure they put you on the higher floors to help you realise how to pace yourself in the higher altitude.
The room was clean, good wifi and the breakfast selection was very nice.
Within walking distance is the amazing Potala Palace, Shops and more shops and lots of local restaurants if your brave enough. If not the old Lhasa kitchen is very good.
We had a western bathroom and well, hard beds and wet bathrooms are just part of Asia.

I see a lot of people are giving this place a bad rap, we stayed here twice on a group tour and found it to just fine. The first room we had was at the front and had double windows so you could cut out the street noise. The beds were hard, but we found that's the norm for this part of the world. Plenty of power boards with most countries outlets on them. No problems with the shower, aircon didn't work and the wifi was lousy, four stories and no lift, welcome to Tibet. It's in a good location with plenty of small shops down an alley about two minutes walk from the hotel

The hotel has a great location and within easy walking distance of Potala Palace and Jakong Temple. It's is functional, clean and comfortable and is only enhanced by the adjacent restaurant and bar.The staff are friendly and helpful but don't expect extensive English if you don't speak Mandarin!

Good location, near Potala Palace and near the market district and near all the shops.
The Hotel was average and the staff are helpful even thought they cannot speak good English. Was nice to stay here as its near to the tourist area.

Room Tip: Choose room with the view of the road :)

The entire floor of the hotel absolutely stank of what I can only describe as a combination of rotting mixed with cigarettes and body odour.

Unfortunately the smell was even stronger in the room. To make matters worse the air conditioning did not work in the room and judging by the control panel it hasn't worked for some time.

After requesting a other room we were offered one the next day as the hotel was full but we were only staying one night.

This hotel was booked as part of a tour package. If you do end up here please ensure to check the room before agreeing to stay. Had we done so we would have probably chosen to move to a hotel nearby.
