Pick the glass floor cabin that should upgrade you to quick access through the queues, otherwise over a couple of hours waiting.

We enjoyed the cable cars, nothing really exciting about the rest.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough... if you can manage the cable car ride and the steps it’s definitely worth a visit.
Staff are very kind in gift shop. If you buy tickets to go inside the Buda the money is redeemable on food or gifts afterwards... such a beautiful thought, and inspired us to give further... so Thank you

the trip by itself (if you do it by local bus, after having taken the MTR) is worthwile. Then when you arrive you are overwhelmed by the big statue and surrounding buildings. go up and enjoy the view

From the moment I stepped on the glass cabin cable car I knew it would be an incredible journey. The view from high above is spectacular and once you arrived at the village you are transported to this magnificent Buddha, so big and so humble. Although it was quiet hot, I still managed to enjoy my visit. Had lunch at Po Lin Monastery, quiet savory and delicious vegetarian meal. Then went to onto explore the Wisdom Path a short hike but if you're looking for some serious hike you can head to Lantau Peak, just make sure to have a good pair of hiking boots, and plenty of fluids, as the climb gets steeper once you're closer to the peak.
Overall, a day trip worth doing it.

I used the train to get to Big Buddha then took a one way bus there and the cable car on the way back. Highly recommend the cable cars both ways since it drops you off at the souvenirs shops.

It was a brutally hot day but still made the hike up the stairs. I loved the view from the top but the shops down below were super touristy. All chain restaurants and overpriced souvenirs. Came from Hong Kong Island and found it easy to get there with clear signs in English and such.

Free to get in and go to the too of Big Buddha.
