Was looking forward to dinner at Cepage, good reviews Michelin star etc and left feeling really disappointed. Had one of their tasting menus and it was just bland without the slightest "Wow" moment in a bland room with clockwork but dare I say it, bland service. An amuse bouch better suited for dessert, then a beautifully presented potato dish with caviar and sour cream which when all was said and done tasted like a boiled potato as it overpowered all else, plain grilled scallop, a tasteless bland lobster soup, bit of duck with foie gras etc. Nothing wrong per se with any of them but all was just bland, it's the word that covers everything. Not cheap but you know that going in, it just failed to deliver. Wine list is suitably huge and you need an hour to go through it. Helpfully they do publish it on their website and there are some very good and really fairly priced wines on it.

Although classified as French, this restaurant would be more accurately described as a decent Asian interpretation of modern european. The menu is well balanced and the food is carefully prepared and presented. The wine list, although one of the largest in Hong Kong, is designed to meet the expectations of those with a thick pocket book. The service is discreet and timely but stiff and impersonal. The ambiance is quiet, cozy and stiff. All in all, very much what you'd expect from a Singapore group such as 'Les Amis', and that includes the bill.

Although classified as french, this restaurant, which is part of the Singapore group 'Les amis' is more in the line of modern european style. Service is stylish and stiff. Ambiance is quiet, nearly stuffy and a bit stiff. The menu offers a decent selection of both 'a la carte' and 'set or degustation menu'. Food is excellent and well presented. The wine list is impressive but chokingly pricey. If you are one of those Hong Kong tycoon heir, go for it.

As part of the Les Amis group, with which I am very familiar, you know that Cepage will have a great wine list featuring multiple vintages of the best French wines. That is definitely the highlight, along with the nice rooftop for a refreshing glass of champagne before dinner.

The dining room is spacious and perhaps a bit sterile, but pleasant, and the food is simple but high quality. Nothing too fancy here with a frequently rotated menu based on fowl and seafood.

Service is decent but not terribly personable and the whole dining experience does feel a bit sterile here as opposed to some of the other top flight French places in HK and Macau.

Overall, not bad and the wine selection is certainly hard to beat, but at these prices, one can find better nearby.

Expensive joint but excellent food! For starters, go for the angel hair pasta with crab legs and the truffle raviolli. The quail I thought was so-so, altho the dear wife loved it. For the main course, I would recommend the Iberian pork. Attentive service. Yes I would come back (but next time on an expense account!)
