BLD is a great place to eat, located in the Renaissance Hotel. Even if your not staying in the hotel it's worth a trip. Start with the Staff they are awesome, very friendly and the best service. Then the food it's amazing, a great selection and very fresh. They really have some great Chef's. I would really like to personally thank Alexander Schijf, Ryan Huang and Leo for always making me feel at home and ensuring I have the best dinning experience. Dale

Highly recommend this place, breakfast experience at BLD, a five star hotel, five stars BLD that offered a choice of both western and Chinese cuisine.

I used to eat there breakfasts at weekend, to enjoy the comfortable place, good and rich buffet , both Western and Chinese cuisine, and about all the friendly, yet efficient reception by the restaurant staff, lead by Ryan Huang, Alexander Scijf and the Italian chef Steffano... feeling there as at home!

This review is a little late because the new year has been crazy but I haven't forgotten about the wonderful time we had celebrating NYE at the BLD.

For a fantastic price of Y588 which included a very wide spread of high quality foods and free flow wine, it was the best way to close out 2015! My only complaint was that I did not win a prize!! Besides the fabulous food and drinks, they also ran a lucky draw. My two friends both won and I was the one who organized the dinner! At least I won the praises of my friends who kept saying I found the best spot in town for NYE! It really was *THAT* good!

The service at BLD also needs a mention! Both my friend and I are both in F&B and we both kept talking about how the staff were well trained on service, really. If you've been in China long enough you know it's hard to come by (even in some 5 star hotels)...so it's really say something about them. I think it has in some part to do with their F&B Manager Alex...That night I guess we had a bit too much of that free flow, I somehow dropped my wallet and after realizing that I lost it, went back and the staff helped me to look for it and returned it to me, everything intact.

Finally I won't be around for Chinese New year but I'm sure there'll be something nice going on there as Alex is always keen to organize some fun event that makes you keep wanting to come back! The Thursday night Lady's night is also a good one!

Will be back sooner than later!!
