The lobby is very grand and shows great promise. Service was good and reception and concierge were very helpful. Breakfast in the German restaurant was also very good although it was a long walk!
The rooms were very disappointing however and poorly furnished. The room door on the inside looked like it had been borrowed from a hostel and the bathroom wasn't a lot better. The bed was fine but the room was way too hot and everything was centrally controlled. The window opened only a few centimetres so the room was truly uncomfortable.
The room was definitely not a five-star experience and the Kempinski is not on my will-return list.More
