I was skeptical if anyone would be able to handle a handful of boys and a teenager. I tested the waters and truly it was just wonderful. The patience given to the many unusual questions from children, their manners and still they came out with so much learning was just awesome. The day was not rushed where no time limit was given for everything: game, birding, children play breaks in the various picnic sites, photography lessons, the teenager needed sleep break so she got slow pace ride as she was unwell.
The family even had the opportunity to see one of the black rhinos in the park up close. Thank you guide, driver, babysitter, teacher too many hats.

Visited Nairobi National Park with a friend for half a day. Mwangi was an excellent guide -- fun and very knowledgeable -- and made sure we covered as much of the park as we could in our 5 hours while taking time to view the animals to our hearts' content. We saw many species of birds, mammals, and plants, and he knew them all. We spotted a family of lions in the distance and then waited with the engine turned off until they came right next to our vehicle. The two females and their cubs laid down in the middle of the road for about half an hour, completely oblivious to our presence. Highly recommended for nature lovers!

Had a full day birding to Magadi with Mwangi and half day to Paradise Lost in Kiambu with Patrick. Both were excellent guides, knew the birds really well, as well as other flora and fauna, and made sure we saw as much as possible. I wish I was staying longer as would seriously consider a multi day trip with them. Highly recommended for serious birders as well as amateurs.
