This the first place I visited in Luxor and bought my Luxor Premium Pass here. There was no one at the Luxor pass "desk", so I asked the ticket office guy to get the person over. After about 30min, he showed up and took me to the office. I had the passport copy, photo, and perfect quality US cash, but of course, he wanted a tip and asked for 100LE. I didn't have any small bills and the tram guy didn't have change so they actually let me ride for free. It's not a very long walk though so it's no big deal. The tombs are great, however, Ramses IX wasn't open. It is magnificent going inside the tombs but it is ruined by the guard/guide/beggers. During this covid time, there were not a lot of people. There are some (mostly if you need to pay extra for) where I was the only person therefore the full attention of the "guard" is on you. Pointing out things you should take photos of, trying to take your camera to take a photo for you, etc then begging for tips. It's a little different than most touts as you can't entirely be "rude" and completely ignore them because they may make things more difficult for you or in the worst case, try to make you leave. Although you don't really need to stay down there very long, their presence certainly doesn't make you want to stay. It is a shame that such magnificent tombs are ruined by the staff. I'd happily pay double or triple the ticket price if it meant you wouldn't be bothered in the tombs.

Visit the burial tombs of some of Ancient Egypt's famous pharaohs. Each tomb has an interesting story/visuals to offer. The Tomb of Ramses III is a must see. Make sure to bring a bottle of water along and stay hydrated as the temperature can be quite challenging mid day.

Incredibly amazing... numerous tombs of ancient Egyptian kings preserved in the mountains on the West Bank of the Nile river... once part of an ancient city Thebes. Definitely worth seeing

Marvellous spot! Want to feel the glory of pharaonic civilization, go to valley of the kings. The ancient decorated tombs are pieces or art that are not like anything else. Put on some comfy shoes and wear sunscreen, get ready for unbelievable scenes.
