While I've been to Seoul a countless number of times, this was my first time staying at any of the 'big name' hotels. While it was only one night (10th-11th September 2018), my experience was a great one.
The views from even the 14th floor had me distracted, observing the daily workers swarming through the digital complex below. Regarding the room, it was maintained to an extremely high standard, and the furnishing seemed of good quality. Water in the fridge; happy days. The bathroom is large and offers a high-tech toilet to match, as well as the slowest, soft-closing slot door I may have seen in my life - don't force it!
Regarding the lobby staff, I was greeted well at all times, and there was no language barrier at all. I was given an airport bus timetable and told clearly how to get my flight on time in the morning - this is was much less stressful than sweating my way through the usual subway route. Cleaning maids were also very warm, welcoming and very alert when working.
Five-star hotels are a bit of a myth, so go for five-star service/value/architecture like this underrated hotel in the south-west of the city (just a 12 mins ride to Hongdae). Also, if you are an avid billiard or darts player, the area has the highest concentration of places to play that I've seen in Seoul!

stayed for a night. overall excellent services and very delicious breakfast! Even local Koreans recommended. Bedding is very very comfortable which makes me very sleepy once on it. I'm satisfied with the cleanliness with the room and bathroom. i will definitely stay again.

I stayed here back in 2011 and was really impressed, at the time, it may have been one of my favorite hotel experiences. I think I was spoiled back in 2011, I had lounge access, and a larger room. This stay was good, but it was a completely different experience. This stay was in a standard room which was kind of small. The room itself was clean, and had all the necessary amenities. I had no lounge access, which was disappointing, but you can't be spoiled all of the time. The breakfast is something to experience, that will spoil you They have food for every type of preference, it is amazing.
The beauty of not having lounge access was that I had to explore the local area for my meals. Those of you seeking good cheap eats, there is a food court as part of the hotel in the basement of the hotel, I did that one night. The local area has many great offering so you will have plenty of options. The gym was more than adequate, but the pool was being renovated, it should be done by now. I will stay here again, it is really a nice place.

We had excellent 3 nights in this hotel. As a frequent traveler I’d like to say that it was one of the best houses I’ve ever stayed. Friendly staff, enough space in guest chamber, nice and comfortable equipment in the bathroom and very comfortable pillows. Delicious and various breakfast. Coin laundry is a really best solution for the case you need it. Location is also very comfortable due to closely situated metro station, plenty of restaurants and big store EMART just around the corner. Thanks a lot to Lotte City Guro Hotel and hope to come back one day! All the best!

I spent a week here with a group of business people from 20+ different countries. Everyone was impressed by the accommodations and the attentiveness of the hotel staff.
We had meetings all week in the hotel's 4th floor meeting rooms and we ate breakfast and lunch at the 3rd floor restaurant. This was very convenient as it gave us plenty of time for eating while also keeping the flow of the meetings going.
Breakfast was a standard mix of eggs, sausage, etc. paired with a number of regional Korean and Chinese style dishes. Lunch was much more exciting as they had a large selection that ranged from beef to noodles to sushi. Capping off lunch was a great selection of desserts including several flavors of gelato.
