This hotel is in a good location, walking distance to Sule Pagoda, the market and central Yangon. We made sure to pay for a street view room to ensure we have a nice, bright room, as some of the reviews indicated cheaper rooms had no windows. Ours was excellent! It had a wraparound window on one wall which gave a nice view of some greenery and the street below. The room was a good size and pleasantly decorated. This is not luxury accommodation, but for good, basic accommodation it is excellent. Clean and pleasant.
The bed is a little hard, but that is common all over SE Asia. The shower had good water pressure and ample hot water. There is a safe, a small cabinet to hang clothes, a desk and a couple of chairs. My only complaints about the room would be the harder bed and the bathroom mirror which was tiny and closer to my waist than my face, making it harder for a tall guy like me to shave, but not a big deal. Oh, and this is not the fault of the hotel but there were dogs howling a number of times through the night. I'm sure it was just bad luck on our one night there, but it did wake up my travel partner. I just flew for 26 hours to get there so could, and did, sleep through anything. Could probably happen anywhere in Yangon.
The staff are excellent. Super friendly, super nice. Can not fault them for anything. We had breakfast on the top floor. It had a reasonable spread of the usual suspects. Again, this is not 5 star, but a reasonable selection and plenty for a decent meal to start your day. From the reviews, I thought the rooftop restaurant would be open air, but it was not. Still a reasonably good view through the windows.
All in all a good stay in a clean, decent 3 star place with excellent service.
