The Loft was the first place we stayed in Burma and we couldn't have had a better landing. The space is sleek and modern, with really comfortable rooms (good A/C), super friendly English-speaking staff, and a fantastic location in downtown Yangon. We loved the little touches like the L'Occitane toiletries and the photos of local people in the room. The Loft is located really close to some of the most highly-recommended restaurants and cafes in TripAdvisor, as well as a famous local market, the Bogyoke Aung San Market and the Yangon Railway station, where you can hop on the circular train. It was also pretty walkable to most of the sights in downtown Yangon, as well as just a short taxi ride away from famous sights such as the Shwedagon Pagoda. I also liked that the hotel featured products made by local cooperatives and artists. It made it easier for tourists to buy fair-trade/local products that they might not have known where to find otherwise. Food was great although a bit pricey.
