Please learn from my mistake and find this lovely shop early in your trip, when you still have room in your luggage and dollars in your wallet! I have been to Yangon before, but this shop was new to me — thanks to reading the reviews, I decided to take a look. Sadly, that was not until my final morning, when I was spent out. The cushions, bags and many other textile products on display in this small shop were very attractive, well priced and, importantly, serving a great cause ( the promotion & preservation of the Chin weaving industry and the support of women weavers). Despite having a full suitcase and an almost empty purse, I could not resist buying one of their stunning bags. Next time I shall make sure I visit at the start of my trip, as the range and quality of their goods was outstanding and there was no ‘hard sell’. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous textiles in both traditional and modern colors/patterns at reasonable prices. Pre-made pillow covers, throw blankets, scarves, decorative runners and more are on offer. Very nice husband-and-wife team run the shop and are very helpful. Stock up on gifts for your family or yourself.

Searching for an authentic Chin handicrafts or pretty patterned textiles? Or colorful pillow cases? Or even a beautiful gift to present loved ones - all in a place, with a high recommendation, Chin Chilli is a Chin traditional shop located in Bogyoke Market where prices are pretty affordable.

It's a place where customers are always warmly welcomed, with the detailed explanations of well-reliable quality products. I am mostly fascinated of the colorful decorations all around the shop and also, to the interesting Chin tradition.
