Simple and nice

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 12, 2018
Hotel is located very close to area with many restaurants and shops. Hotel itself is simple and clean. My room was bigger the I expected (and needed) with a big window on sea side. Reception Team was very kind and helpful.

We had a great experience at Paradise Palau Hotel. We booked a room that shared a common space with other rooms that had a kitchenette and sitting area - when we were there none of the other rooms were occupied so we basically had an apartment to ourselves. Our room was large with a large bathroom (both shower and bathtub) and it was very clean. In the middle of koror so close to several restaurants/ bars. Staff at the hotel was great and always very helpful. I would stay here again in Koror. Only downside was that the beds were a little harder than I like.

I spent 4 nights there last week and was very satisfied with my stay. The room was large and spacious. The AC worked well. It was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location in Koror was in the middle of everything. Different stores and restaurants were nearby. The only negatives for me were that the bed seemed a little hard (usually not a problem for me) and that a room on the front has some traffic noise. But it's not a problem too late so very minor for me. The front desk was also very helpful with arranging tours.

I had a very short stay for two nights at Palau Paradise, but wish I had more. The hotel is superbly located in the middle of Koror, with plenty of shopping options and restaurants at a short walking distance. The hotel itself is fairly simple, but clean, safe and comfortable. The staff is incredibly welcoming, from the desk staff to especially the guard. I stayed in a room facing the back side of the hotel, which was quiet and looked out to the water.

The hotel is located at the main street in Koror, almost next to the shopping center and within three-minutes walk to post office. The room was spacious, clean but basic. Hotel doesn't offer a breakfast - there are variety of option nearby within 5-10 minutes walk. There is no free WiFi, but they offer a paid internet card.
Staff is very good, reacting fast to any of your needs.
The front parking area is spacious, so no problem in parking your rented car.
The rooms facing the main street are noisy and there is a walking gallery in front of them so if you spend some time in the room the curtains should be closed as to the tourists and employees walk by your window.

Room tip: Ask for the room at the back of the hotel - they are quieter without the walking gallery in front of them.

I have stayed here three times. The staff know when you are coming, have what you need ready, anticipate what you need when you leave (which is usually in the middle of the night because of the United Guam flights), and are immediately helpful. Do communicate with them on email to book rather than a booking site. They respond daily. The rooms have no carpet with clean, shiny floors. Bathrooms have staining and are old with a big shampoo bottle which lasts through many guests (I bring my own). Air conditioning is good. Wifi is like everywhere on the island (slow and testy), but thankfully the Paradise has a card you can buy at the desk instead of having to go buy it elsewhere. [Wifi cables are planned in Palau for 2017 I heard.] I have also stayed at the Penthouse which is Palauan managed and a great place but I do not prefer it, the Palasia, and the Cliffside (HORRIBLE). The Paradise is by far my number one choice - always available and professional and helpful. There are a few new hotels on the island to try but they are also more expensive than the Paradise.
