booked a room one month in advance for 10 days during easter with 100.00 deposit. room looked okay at first. there was no light in bathroom. extension cord with a table lamp from living room was put on the sink up real tacky and dangerous to . there was no remote control in the room to turn on a/c. a/c cut off during one of many blackouts had to wait until morning to get remote for a/c. cable tv worked 2 days out of ten. no use of pool, no free breakfast as advertised on brochure for hotel. took several days before light in bathroom was fixed.carpets dirty.

Room Tip: go somewhere else

Reviewed 23 July 2012

In july my friends and I had a lovely 2 night stay at King's Plaza. This hotel is not very busy (I think we were the only ones there both nights), but worth checking out if you are in the area.

PROS: fantastic staff; close to downtown (approx. 10-15 min walk to the market); lots of good restaurants near by; rooms were clean and well kept; cheap $70 a night; free wireless; mini fridge in room for left overs or breakfast.

CONS: the shower drain backed up in both of our rooms; the first night our bed was uncomfortable, but the second night it improved greatly.
