Currently thie Mambo as it is known has a fabulous fibre art exhibit by a well known Columbian artist.A film accompanies the exhibit which shows exactly how the pieces are created.Visually it is stunning.

Good modern art museum with 2-3 exhibits on rotation. Quality varies from exhibition to exhibition, so investigate ahead online before going to see what's currently showing and if it interests you. Centrally located just off pedestrian street la Séptima. Some exhibits I've loved, some have been the standard boring modern painted geometric squares.

Nothing amazing just a museum with all kind of portraits of different people, but the main one is botero.

When I was there, the entire museum was filled with art done by Diego Mazuera and it was wonderful. He has very varying styles, with each different style grouped together within the museum. Part of my enjoyment was looking at which decade the work was done in and piecing together the evolution of his art. Some I liked better than others, and that all added to the fun. I’ve been to museums before that only house one artist’s work (haven’t we all?) but it’s not often that I’ve seen such a wide variety of work done by one artist. This is an absolutely wonderful gem that shouldn’t be missed!

We visited this museum to see the work of Diego Mazuera, a Colombian abstract artist, whose work we enjoyed very much. We understand, however, that this was a temporary exhibition and I am not entirely sure that the museum has a permanent collection, so before you visit, it may be worth visiting the museum website to see what is on and whether it is to you taste. From what I gather it seems to specialise, as you would hope it would, in the work of Colombian artists, so if you are interested in this area, it should be worth visiting if only to find out what is going on. The museum is not large, but the exhibition we saw covered all three floors and was well presented, although you need to understand Spanish if you want to read the accounts in each room as none of these had been translated. We had heard that there was a cafe, but on arrival were told not, so eat before you go, or do what we did: buy your entrance ticket (very cheap) and go off to eat and return later. The entrance is set well back from the road, but there is a roadside sign to point you in the right direction up a flight of stairs. No sign of a ramp, so probably not for anyone with mobility issues. The museum has a lovely shop just inside the entrance.
